Well I for one think that its great that I'm competing vs squads like Sk8 -f- and Disoblige all season long only to play some random other squad in the playoffs. Baseball would be pretty boring if they played that long ass season and the Yankees never ended up playing the Red Sox in October when it counts. I dunno what league ops think but it certainly makes the playoffs more interesting if there is a history from the regular season between the 2 squads. I know the East at least has 4 squads that are all on the same approximate skill level, and dice this week vs syndicate would be a nice rematch in conference semi final. This stuff about uneven conferences makes no sense, since the captains emailed in a list of who they thought were the best squads in preseason and it was divided into evens vs odds.

Actually if MLB had cross conference playoffs the Yankees would still play the Red Sox if they both won their cross-conference games. And possibly even play each other in the world series finals which would have been more exciting than Sox vs Cards in the finals (for most people).

The reason MLB,NHL,NFL have conference championships is mainly for geographic regions. Or at least originally. It's pretty much tradition at this point. (I'm guessing on that but I assume it's true)

The hell are you talking about? Do you even know how MLB and the NFL are structured? An NFC championship game between the Eagles and 49ers would be for a geographic region how? How about an AL final between the Angels and Yankees? Only one of those leagues that has it due to geographical reasons is the Eastern/Western conferences of hockey.

Its not even an important issue though. The better team will still win the games. I was just pointing out that I think a lot of people would rather be playing against the people they've competed with all season long. For instance as the 3rd or 4th seed in our conference I would rather play Sk8 or Diso in the first round in a rematch from earlier in the season rather than play Syndicate/Shinobi/Dice. We only play one of those 3 during the season, and we dont really feel it is vital to win that to get into the postseason. To be honest, I really want to knock sk8 out in the first round after the shit they tried to pull on us. And then -f- since we had a good game the first time around. And then Synd.

Um no, the divisions are based on geographic regions (loosely now but like Sleepy said, that's why it was originally done). That's why they're called American East, Central, and West. It was conceived before popularity of airplanes the majority of the games easy to travel to for the players. He's not saying that the American League covers half the country and the National covers the other.

Wow underground.... NO SHIT I think we all know that. We are saying we wud rather them NOT be cross-conference. And who ever said that play-off games are regional is fucking retarded. In 2002 The San Francisco Giants had to play the Atlanta Braves in the wild card round, and then the STL Cardinals after that to advance to the World Series. Neither of those games were against teams played in our Devision (region).

I just like to see rivalries become even bigger cause the teams gotta try to knock each other out of playoffs. Last year it was Pirates vs. -Final- and alot of people were all mad cause they thought it wud be better if it was Venom vs -Final- but they had played already a weak earlier. All Im saying is that this way their is less likelyhood that the two best teams in each conference will play each other. And thats retarded.
