However, 3 pm got booked with 6 games that weekend. If you are going to take the defense that ops can schedule 6 games in one time slot, then why would it not have happened that week?

Sometimes 6 games are booked in one timeslot due to the limitations of using php to make a website (or at least the fact that no one smart enough to figure out this problem has been working on it). Basically the problem is, if say 6 people ask for the same time, and 6 people all agree on the scheduling page, then you can possibly have 6 squads (even 7,8,9,...) all having the same timeslot. But this only happens during certain situations. I tried for weeks to fix this problem and so did Castromarx when we were making the website, but to no avail. No one I asked had any bright ideas either, so I guess it's just been like that since season 6. I would think this has to do with this website bug more than the slots actually being 'open'.

4 pm was the obvious compromise that week, as ancs would then be playing at 2, 3, and 4 pm, and we wouldnt get stuck with some euro time we can never make.

Read above. And calling a legitimate timeslot 'euro time' is kind of silly. I've played a few games this season which started at 1pm. For some reason Hercules really likes 1pm (or maybe we just get 'screwed' every week), and Pirates is mostly a North American squad. If your squad didn't have enough players to make it at a normal and legitimate TWL timeslot, so be it. Just because you didn't get the exact time you wanted should not be the end of the world if your squad was run properly.

It would have been stupid of me to accept a saturday game, when clearly by what I was reading on the TWL site, the only time that was not on saturday that was available, was our preferred time. Don't you agree on that?

1pm is a legitimate time. It is legitimate in the rules. Therefore the only time that was available not on saturday was BOTH 1pm and 5pm. Too bad you didn't get the time you wanted, but no where does it say you will.


In the end, yes staff could have been nicer to you and given you the exact preferred time you wanted. But that would mean the other squad would have played 2,3,5. Likely with their Euro team and the fact that people have things to do on a Monday morning, they couldn't have made it with their best line either. Just becuase they have 30 players on their roster and likely would not have forfeited is NOT an excuse because there was NOTHING stopping you from having more players yourself other than your own recruiting policies. Like I said, someone always gets screwed no matter what happens. This time you got screwed, if it went the other way around, they would have gotten screwed.

It's your fault for not preparing better in running your squad to make sure that you had the players to make it every weekend at the very least so that you wouldn't forfeit.

7.05 If neither Squad enters a time into negotiation on the website or if a time can not be agreed upon both squads, the League Operator will assign it. The League Operator will choose a time slot starting between 2pm and 4pm EST (1900 - 2100 GMT) on either Saturday or Sunday by order of first availability. Timeslots of starting times of 1pm and 5pm EST (1800, 2200 GMT) may be chosen if no other slots are available.

Happens all the time. Maybe this is the first season you've ever played TWL I don't know. I told you, under specific situations 6 squads may play at the same time due to technological limitations. If the slot is full, and basically if someone else had previously requested that timeslot before it was full, the request still stands. Either it is the 48-hour rule or the 'accept this timeslot' button that makes the 6th game possible, I forget which one it was.

I would like you to point out where in the rules it says that if there is an assigned time, the time should be given to the time that one of the squads asked for because I do not see it anywhere.

Yes all the 2-4pm slots were full, you admit that yourself. Yes, no special treatment was given so that 6 games could be played in the 4pm slot just for you, boo hoo. And yes, if the 2-4pm slots are full, both 1pm and 5pm slots are just as legitimate. I don't care if whether you think it is or not, it's in the rules. The rules were clearly written BEFORE the season started and everyone who played in TWL agreed to them. If you think the rules should bend to suit your personal preferences then you are clearly mistaken.

Neither you nor sk8 asked for 1pm. Therefore by picking a time that neither squad wanted, the league coordinator was being as impartial as possible so that neither squad would get preferential treatment. If it's too early for you to wake up, that's too bad. If you really cared, you'd wake up. If you don't really care, stop whining.

The league isn't made so that your 5 starters or whatever could make every single game no matter what. It's made so that everyone can have a shot at getting the times that they want. Just because your 7 players couldn't make it any other time than for 2 of the 10 timeslots for the weekend is no excuse.

I ran a TWL squad for 5 seasons and I NEVER had a single forfeit ever. No matter who was running the league, whether the game was mutually agreed upon or assigned by the league coordinator (as every game in season 2 and 3 were) or what I never, ever had a forfeit. Even if I had to play my bench or people who were on the squad only as ?chat friends, we made every single game. You didn't make it, that's bad captaining, stop whining.

I really hate when "older" players whine about twl and say they are going to boycott. No one cares if you or other people dont play twl, for every 1 person that quits im sure 5 more newer players are willing to take a cocky "vets" place. why the arguements? we got screwed in many more ways than that by staff, but in the end i guess we shouldve won the ez games in the beginning... wish i couldve been there but i was in boot camp, had military stuff going on, etc

in any case, squad!! got in with their 3 forfeits and 150+- rating in regular season... glad they were lucky enough to be given a free spot in the playoffs, too bad they will get blown out because they really arnt a playoff calibur squad.
