I think Im with -final- on this one O_o When it was regular season the exact same thing happend to diso but we got a replay the next week. If nothing else was said this should have been treated the same way.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say we should have some sort of poll about how people think TWL was coordinated this year,

I have had mods tell me "Pure_Luck is just too busy" and "Pure_Luck is going through irl problems" and "Pure_Luck just took on too many staff positions" well it is his fault for thinking he was good enough to even be a dean, much less alone run the most important part of TW. So I say we have a vote about replacing Pl after this season, and then we can understand how the majority of people in this zone think about this TWL season. (basers can't vote). I was reading through an old news.txt earlier and I found this.

Maybe its a good idea that every squad that will compete in twl has a mod on his squad that works on TWL so its more even and cases of abusing wont be there next season (if there was abusing).
Also when a TWL OP fucks up people should be able to tell him that and in worse case take away his function

Too bad you seem to have an (unmerited) ego. "Basers can't vote"? Sorry sir, but basers represent over 1/3 of the TWL population (more people/userids have played in TWLB this year than either TWLD or TWLJ.)

I was actually trying to make a point, unlike your dumb ass post here. Rogue I say to you:

It's just what herc is saying... if -final didn't put in 5 players that last round they would have had something to stand on and demand a replay. However since they added there 5 best and tried to win that 3rd round I do not think it would be fair to us, pirates, to grant them a replay. If -Final- would have won that 3rd round, there would've been no way Pirates could have appealed on it... Giving them a replay now would be like giving them 2 chances to win 3rd round.

Disqualifier is intelligent enough to understand at the point the 3rd round replay was starting that he had 2 options:
1. Adding them 5 peoples trying to win. (But if they lose just appeal the damn game, in the hope the appeal gets through)
2. Not adding any people to then appeal.

Option 1 might look like the smartest thing to do. However option 2 will give you a better chance of the appeal being taken into consideration and being granted. He is also smart enough to understand that the game itself has been played now and that they just lost because staff cannot grant the appeal because the 3rd round just went without flaws and -final- played the exact same people as they played the previous rounds making disq's point about players having to go moot.
Also I wouldn't like my only close to good game being taken away from me.

P.S. vote for me for the all-star game already, im way to good to have never participated in any of them...

I didn't notice Pirates having any other games. It was almost 01:00am Finnish time when the 3rd round finally started after staff had delayed it over 30 minutes (and way past our time slot). Even when you don't take that into account, we were entitled a replay according to TWL rules. Otoh, I just heard they were only "regular season rules" . I haven't seen any playoff rules posted anywhere, so I assumed we'd be going by those.

Well, I'm not sure if we'll be able to show the same lineup, so in a sense we've been screwed.

With this whole "Regular season rules" vs "Playoff season rules" business. I believe I may have caused that whole ruckus. At the time I didn't know how the matches were handled...I'm not a TWL Op nor am I TWL staff. I've never hosted a playoff game, nor have I ever cared to. I just help out with the regular season games. At the time I didn't know how the playoff games were handled. I figured the games were treated as one match with the best of three rounds (rather than 3 completely different matches), so I wasn't sure how "time slots" in rules 4.1, 4.2, etc., applied in the Playoff games.... I guess you could say I saw the whole best out of 3 as one time slot match. So I gave my two cents on what I THOUGHT was going on. I guess I should have figured otherwise though. Apparently some of you took my word as if it held weight in TWL when I'm not a TWL Op nor TWL staff.

I apologize for the confusion, but please know my word holds no real weight in TWL...if anything it holds weight as a Moderator and a TWD/TWEL Op only...nothing else.

I pretty much agree with you on most levels, that it's unfair to Pirates, that the appeal shouldn't have gone through. But what I don't agree on is what you said in your P.S. :P
