My Response: Him adding players had no impact on the "legality" of the appeal, because according to the rules, if one of the teams refuses to play a game after the 30 minute mark after it's scheduled, they are supposed to get the option to replay on another day. A 3rd round took place that was not supposed to have taken place. Simple as that.

My Response: He sent the email to the address which the TWL op has included in the sticky'd thread entitled "TWL Rules". Notice how the title of the thread is "TWL Rules"? In other words, the Rules of TWL (im sure you had difficulty understanding this bit). In that thread Nethila has simplify'd the rules for people like you. It does not make a difference if there is a different email address there, the TWL op lists thats as an email address it's supposed to be sent to. Neither email can be considered the "wrong" email address since they are both listed as emails that appeals should be sent to. Whether or not that typod' email address goes anywhere is irrelevent. How do you know that the typo'd email in that thread doesn't get forwarded to the real email address? You don't know, therefore it is a moot point.

TWL staff screwed up, end of story.

The sk8 UF game should have been replayed immediately as the following rule states:

4.01 If an unpredictable server crash, router failure, TWBot failure, or other event has a massive impact on a game in progress, the match will be cancelled and all current scores discarded. The game will then be replayed at a later time. (See Rules 4.02, 4.03 and 4.04)


The -Final- Pirates game also should have been rescheduled when Disqualifier brought the following rule to the attention of the ops:

4.03 If all technical difficulties are resolved after the 30 minutes before next time slot games, and if the game slots allow it, the match can be replayed immediatly in consent with the Captains.


Although I am not a part of TWL Staff I spent a considerable amount of time reviewing these two appeals, which are hard to even call appeals since they were due to mistakes made by the TWL staff, and I aided the TWL Ops in coming to a fair decision. The decisions were based purely on TWL rules which have been on the TWL website for anyone to read at any time.

I apologize for the mistakes made by staff, but we can not turn back the clock and right our wrongs. To those squads who feel cheated I am truly sorry. I've been through the TWL playoffs and I know how frustrating it can be when things go wrong, particularly when the mistakes are made by staff. If any of the captains of the squads involved are not satisfied with the decisions I encourage them to talk to me and I will do my best to explain how and why the decisions were made.
