John staff aint smart enough to plan appeal matches on saturday. They have to make trouble or fuck it up for squads that didnt do anything wrong.

At work, we have the upstairs staff consisting of the programmers (me and two other guys), the owner, and the financial people. Downstairs we have the people who run the surveys. The upstairs staff are all smart, we know what we're doing, we know how things work, and we know how to troubleshoot things quickly. The downstairs people are pretty dumb and just go "uhhh...." when stuff effs up.

To keep things running smoothly, we have to make things as reliable and easy to use as possible otherwise the people down stairs using the stuff we make screw it up. If we don't see far enough ahead to realize someone won't understand something, productivity goes down a bit but we can't change that person's stats just because they didn't understand our stuff completely.

ur right Ill take my words back that everyone on staff is stupid. There are a few smart mods (I see Ikrit is one of them lol) and others are just dumb. Maybe time to recruit actually staff with knowledge (not me :P, I only see that things go wrong and it sux I cant do shit about it :<)

Pascone talked to PL about the match time a few days before the match, I don't know what was said because neither of them could remember but Pascone does know that he did not inform any of his squad members of the discussion between him and PL. Timeslots are between 2pm and 4pm (EST), if one match started at 2pm, you can be sure that the match is between 2:30pm and 4pm, how hard is it to have your players on for a 1:30 hour time span so you can be sure to have a good match?

Like I said on staff chat earlier, if you put 2 and 2 together and get 5, it's your fault you lost.

none of this justifies ignoring rules, and we also shouldn't have to put 2 and 2 together, it should be overly clear so there aren't problems like this, it is a league playoff game, why not have everything as clear as possible?

Ya this was really stupid, not like i care about the WB dueling league much, but why was dice/boz punished and have to guess which time they have to showup / play the game. Sk8/-f- had every1 of there players online bc they just finished another game. I dont really think thats to fair. I mean sk8's a good team nothin against them but it just dont seem rite.

Also who wants to just "sit" around for a 2 hr period on a weekend in the middle of summer. Sure 2 hrs dont seem like a long time, but when TWL is in the middle of the day ppl want to go outside. I think thats why we had the negotiations all season long. I would of ratherd staff delay the playoffs 1 more week, or have sk8/dice boz/-f- play at an agreed time durin the week then have some random BS time for 2 squads to show up to.

Why should Boz and dice be forced to play at the next available time slot when all season long every squad/match was negotiated by the squadcaptains? I dont think the playoffs are the time u start to designate times for squads when u didnt do it all season long.

they shouldn't, as it was against the rules on the twl site. but whatever. and tahkis i already said that the time slots last weekend were different than the ones from the previous week, thus confusion

If you only had shitty players on you should have not even showed up... that would have made your argument a hell of a lot stronger. Look, I'll show you...

This is you now:

"We lost the match and we don't think it's right so we're going to find some rule to try and get a rematch."

This is what you would have had:

"We were not able to participate in our match this weekend because rule <whatever> was not followed properly and our players were not able to set aside the entire three hour timeblock on Sunday to wait for our match so we believe we deserve a rematch."


Every squad that complained about a rule AFTER losing has been criticized out their asses for it, there's no way you didn't know that and I'm kind of tired of hearing squads only complain when they lose.

Not adding any players is a clear objection to a rule not being followed properly. If you add players, they suck, lose, and THEN you complain, you're complaining about the loss and using the rule being broken as an excuse.
