i think this thread has drifted away from twld a bit..

I think alot depends who is having good days and who's having baddays..
but if statistics were involved i think thunder is lookin' good, syndicate's teaming should be nice, ramp we'll pull something together i hope , diso?! haven't dded them much, sake will do what they do rush till u wonder if they have energy then shoot u... hax?!?! hellz no skillz... and Dice looks good in Deez hands

Rampage

To be honest, we (Rampage) do have a lot of kinks to work out. When I see the team do well, I sometimes question whether we're just getting lucky. I do think the assumption that we are all just rusty vets is a little inaccurate, since starting spots are something that on our squad must be competed for. Crome, for example, has been playing dd a lot recently because he wants to play. He knows if he isn't active and doing well that he can forget it. The same rule applies to everyone else on the squad.

Not to mention we have recruited a lot of new people. From looking at the roster we look a little fat, but many of the people on the roster that are "old" players are there because they were grandfathered in. Just because they are big names doesn't mean they will be playing

All that said, I'll repeat myself in saying we have more kinks than the usual squad. We have pretty much a new squad to work with having all these recent recruits, and though I've played with almost everyone on the roster in leagues before, for some of them it's been years (deck, jack, sirius) since I flew on the same team with them. Others, it's only been a season (killergt, blood, etc).

All in all, I'm excited to see what this season holds for the team, as it will probably be my last. I'm turning a huge page in my life midseason graduating from college and getting married while also buying a house, so a lot of things will be changing in my life, including my frequency on the game. I'd like to be able to leave with a third LD title, but if not, I'm sure I'll still have loads of fun with all the friends I get to share this season with.

Last season was the most revolutionary season in the history of TWLD (from my point of view). In that final game, Sk8 vs Syndicate the ice was finaly broken. And then when sk8 dissolved the ice again formed.

The biggest challenge for a warbird is to not lose before the game even starts. Someone like Demonfaze for whom I have alot of respect for has built such a huge reputation around him and his squad that he can play at 50% and still win LDs. Not because he is better than someone on Rampage who tries 100% but because Syndicate is expected to win by everyone. That is what puts pressure on the opponent. Losing to Syndicate then becomes natural to the opponent.

With that said I will say that Syndicate or -Final- will take it all unless the challenger alienates themselves from all the drama and starts to look at names as just names, not giants.
