I'll always remember Siege beating Light 50-15 in TWLD semifinals (I think) in season 5 after all of Light's trashtalking. perfect game..

Actually, the only loss -Siege- had was a forfeit due to scheduling retardedness (and it was against the worst team in the league, don't even remember the name of the squad). Onix did come in 2nd though, which doesn't really say much since light, siege, and elu were all in 1 conference together.

I would say -F- winning TWLB last season was pretty unexpected. Not to mention seeing Melee runner up in season 6 in LD. But again that wasn't such a big accomplishment since for the second season in a row the supersquads were confined to one conference (ramp, elu, etc).

Why are people posting regular season upsets like they matter? Regular season means fuckall to squads guaranteed a playoff position; especially teams like Siege, Elusive, Light that consistently did well in the playoffs and didn't need to worry about seeds.

A true upset is elimination, not some retarded moral victory that your piece of shit squad, which dissolved 3 years ago, had in the midst of their 3-7 season.

Elusive winning TWLJ season 5 over Siege was a pretty big upset. Elusive was basically derided as TWLJ-wannabes for the entire season, but managed to win in the end. Actually Elusive vs. Light in the playoffs was a bigger upset by many magnitudes (we were bitter enemies and Light had constantly made fun of Elusive's Javs) but that wasn't the finals.

I'd also consider it an upset when we beat Rampage in TWLD-semifinals season 6 and went on to win the title. We got beat up pretty bad in regular season by them. After all the craptalk we took from them (Sudden & co) whole season.. I think that was the sweetest victory in twl for me ever.

edit: ok lol, by some miracle i still have a log from that game (hard to believe it's been 3.5 years from it). Funny detail... Burnt, Sudden and Blood got themselves banned for spamming ?help after the game

Hah you're right, that was also the sweetest victory ever for me as well. All the more sweet considering I killed out 3 people in my first 3 kills as a sub

There was some ugly trash talking/petty rivalry phase between Solstice and Light (Ruby abstruct and Rough being three more in particular funny and ecstatic ones from Light's side) during the particular week or two and thus there were certain bragging rights behind the match, as to why I bothered mentioning that particular one. Fun times.

Though I must say, abstruct did try his heart out to live up to his little threat and almost got mvp with 17-10
