Can we get somthing done w/ the stupid scheduling?

This system is stupid. 1st off it favorites squads who are only in 1 or 2 leagues. They only have to fight for 1 timeslot and hold there ground because they dont have 2 other leagues to play. Then you got idiot squads who take until late wednesday nite or thursday to even ask u for a time back. How are we suppose to negotiate, and schedule 3 games around each other when some squads dont even reply back until thursday. This system is flawed. Why dont we have games with scheduled times insead of this BS "negotitations"
Its not even negotiating anymore, half the squads wont budge on times because there are less games this season, meaning more slots.

How about each squad gets a certain number of "scheduling tokens" for each league they are in at the beginning of the season and then use them to bid on time slots. Naturally if your opponent outbids you for another time, you won't get charged for your bid.

Just have it auto-schedule... Most people can take an hour or two out of their saturdays and sundays to play a game, if for some reason you cant make it, big deal, you'll come to the next one.

Well, I have to agree; this scheduling system has never worked.

This week I offered 3pm EST Sunday for TWLB like 12 hours after the scheduling opened. I've been sitting here for days, and finally Disoblige responds with a DIFFERENT time and now the website says that the timeslot I offered is full.

And then you auto schedule every game, and one squad can't show up enough people for their game. Because the time it auto scheduled they couldn't make it and then you get whining about that. Should we punish them for not showing? Should we not because the time the game was scheduled for them was impossible for them to show people?

This system is fine if other captains have the courtesy to respond in time and be open. We got put to Saturday during pre season week 1 because Savanger wouldn't accept any time.

I've always said the same fucking thing.

Make it even for everyone, have a neutral party, assign random timeslots.. your top line cant make it FUCK YOU! deal with it. because another squad will most likely get fucked in the same fashion. Everyone deals with the same problem.. because lets face it, there will always be problems. Lets at least make everyone have to deal with some of it.

get over it, quicksand lost out on playoffs last season because of scheduling problems, just because you cant get your "perfect" lineup in then w/e, you at least dont have to worry about losing 50 +/- and henceforth miss out on playoffs because of it

That's kind of his point Exalt. We should get the schedules up earlier so people can plan their weekends around the match time. As of right now, the scheduling doesn't allow every squad to get their top line every weekend anyway... but if we auto-schedule and give people enough time to plan ahead it could make it much easier for squads to show their stuff. Of course, you have to take into consideration the Saturday deal, and schedule the least amount of games possible for that day, and perhaps try to schedule tri-league squads for that day only (but ONE of their three matches of the weekend).

At this point, if a Captain knows how to work the system, they can screw over the other team pretty badly... even if a team were to be screwed by the auto-scheduling, at least it would have been an unbiased decision, and an unbiased decision made in advance.

Well considering that times from 1-5pm est is 8pm-1am in finland, I doubt the europeans (especially finns I guess) would like that...sunday is twl day, saturday isn't.

Thast basicaly whats happend this weekend with Dice. I offered the 1st day i could 3 pm est for LB also, and pandora dont respond until late last nite w/ a time way off. I actualy had to let sarger a .?Message ingame just so he'd start negotiating.


Exalt: This is TWL, both teams should have an equal chance at having there top line show. With this current process its not fair to everyone. With a schedule thats alredy made w/ times then it is fair for everyone. Some games u'll have ur top some u wont, but u wont be gettin screwed by negotiations because some squads know the flaws and how to get around certain game times.

Plus when ur in 3 leagues, u basicaly got 1-5 pm aka 5 time slots to schedule 3 games. Those 1 league squads can basicaly have a hold on the time slot they want and just ride it out knowing the 3 league squad will eventualy play another league at that time, or that time slot will fill up (aka 3 pm) by friday. There are to many flaws, and i know this isnt the 1st time it was braughtup.

5 pm EST is midnight in Finland da1, not 1 am. But that is why Saturday is a shitty day, it's evenings for Euro's, which means a lot of the drunken people here will be out. And I know I am not gonna say no when someone asks me if I wanna do something just because I have a twl game scheduled. But Sundays are much more a days where people are usually home anyway.

What you could do is put the time the scheduling closes much earlier, For instance From Sunday after the last TWL match to Tuesday midnight. If one captain doesn't respond until then, the team that gave their preference gets their time slot. Or have the captains give multiple preferences before tuesday evening, if there is a matching one that one is picked (you won't know before hand) otherwise Wednesday you still get a chance to figure it out, else you will be placed Wednesday evening/Thursday morning

Thats not the point. The whole thing is still flawed. I was just bringing it up now since its preaseason b4 the regular eason came along and we have this same problem come up when it matters.
