  • EST Time Change

Just a reminder, North America will begin its Day Light Saving Time at 2:00AM Sunday morning. (aka 2AM will become 3AM, we lose 1 hour of sleep.. alsfjlkwjeroijasfd) So all sunday matches will be an hour earlier for you Euros. If you are not sure what time is your match, be sure to check with your squadmates, or ask any TW staffs.

    Thank You
    1 + 1 = 1

I was under the impression it would make the matches an hour later (EST is +5 in winter and +6 in summer isn't it?)

            probably wrong, just checkin.

If we are accurate, the times are listed as EST on twl site. EST (and GMT) are actually always the same. After Daylight Saving Time you should use EDT instead (Easter Daylight Time) which is EST+1.

GMT is defined to be the same as UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) and EST is UTC-5. EDT is UTC-4 (or EST+1). So actually the games should be at the same time as before for euros and 1 hour later for americans.

10 seconds of googling will bring you here http://www.timeanddate.com/library/a...es/na/est.html
              TWL-J champ season 5 (Elusive)
              TWL-D champ season 6 (Elusive)

              TWL-D champ season 10 (Syndicate)

Vihta, that is only if EST remains EST. But I think that it is assumed that the times on the site are with the Daylight Saving Time included, even though it would be then reported incorrectly as EST, instead of EDT. So the games might actually be 1 hour earlier than normally for Europeans.

This is something that the TWL Ops should have clarified beforehand, to avoid any confusion.

BTW, Europe will change to Summertime in two weeks, which will normalize the situation (time difference).

Edit: Hah, I messed the difference as well, this is what happens when you use incorrect time zones as correct time zones...

for north americans, as long as you remember to adjust your clock, you are fine. dont have to worry much.

however, for you euros, a match that'd normally be at lets say 9pm for you guys will now be at 8pm. =)
