Actually, if you watched "real" sports you would know that MVP of a league is determined solely off of the regular season.
And then seperately there is an MVP of the Finals during playoffs.

Say hello to 2006 NBA MVP Steve Nash (Suns) and then NBA Finals MVP Dwayne Wade (Heat).

look at Dirk... he owned during the season then sucked so much 1st round playoff and got his Mavs eliminated.. but he still got his MVP

nba isn't the only sport.. the mvp system in nba is kinda ridicilous imo.. in twl, playoffs means a lot more than the regular season (although in nba there also seem to be a lot of average teams and qualifying for playoffs isn't that hard for the good teams?)
i think in football it's usually the team that wins the biggest cups (champions league, world cup) who get the most important 'mvp' awards.. when barca won the cl about every important award went to one of their players, italy wins the wc, cannevaro is suddenly the player who gets most of the praise and awards..

anyway, not that i care one bit about who gets last season's mvp, but it's quite clear who carried his team to win the championship, that should be enough to get the season's mvp and just because someone had a slightly better average than him doesn't mean a thing since the other guy didn't bring the title home.. anyway mvp shouldn't be decided by who got a better score vs gantz, heavy or w/e random squads there always are in twl, but by who shines during the playoofs.. if whoever is the guy that decides who is the season's mvp can't be bothered to look beyond a simple accumulation of scores to decide the mvp, maybe we shouldn't even have a season's mvp at all... do it right or don't do it at all..
