or make 5 or 6 new bases... or just mainly flagrooms rather. not huge changes but a lot of things a little bit different. and then when a match is played assign one to them randomly. make the team adapt when the game starts. give a few extra ship changes or whatever

No limit. 5 v 5 spiders is the best by far. I dont want some fucking lame jav like domi or necro ruining twl and lag breaking crams all over the shop with people saying oooo look how good he is. Playing 5 spiders is the most skillful always having the better team win with superior teamwork. Some wb who can annoygly run around middle and ocasionally stray a terr will not be kwl.

People stand for no limit and "freedom of choice" when we really are limited to just a handful (actually one or two) options to choose from. At least let us test what it'd be like to base for real with no ship/shipchange limits!

Instead of limiting ships we should make all ships open. Yes. I'm saying we should allow multiple terrs, many sharks and even levs. I really think that would be the best way to diversify the basing game, since it's been pretty goddamn stale for the past three years. Instead of limiting the options we have and make it EVEN MORE stale please give us the chance to use our imagination with the lineups and still have them be viable.

Competition and survival of the fittest works pretty well for nature, it is one of the strongest mechanisms for improvement. Putting artificial restrictions on this game is the same as the US Forest Service’s policy on putting out every forest fire. The forest IS supposed to burn every now and then.

What is wrong with trying unlimited ships for a season? Would this not bring a new level of involvement to ALL squads as they try all kinds of different ship combinations during the off-season and during league play? Would this not give players with lesser experience a better chance to get skilled in ships that not all vets are good at? And would this not also help address the issue with squads that go inactive during the off-season (since they would have to also try new combos).

If a squad wants to field 8 terriers or 8 levs, so be it. Who knows what new kinds of strategies and gambits will be developed? My opinion is that this is exactly what TW and the leagues need right now.

I agree with Eph and Phren, everyone claims that the 5 spider line is the superior line, so you shouldn't have any problems going up against a line with 4 levs, 3 sharks and 1 terr right? No, you shouldn't. So I don't see why the ships should be restricted the way they are. Our zone was made originally to base, all the ships created by the original makers of the zone had this intention in mind when they made all 8 of them, so why not at least make it an option instead of barring it out completely?

here is how that will work out: start off with normal line our side gets tek and clears fr.

then everyone except terr is changed to shark and sets up cram
