Let's go over a few things. Why would I go out of my way to keep fistula out of TWLJ? I don't jav, I don't care about javing, and I pretty much hate the ship. That said, there was no 'bias' in my portion of the decision. I asked 5 other TWL staff people, (3 of the 5 not in TWLJ) and we all agreed that this makes the most sense.

bike made a post last month asking if the opponent rating was going to make a difference. I said simply, play more games, this would then give you much more credibility. Winning two games against dice (Cig smoke and a2m were in one game, I don't know what the other one looked like. You also lost vs dice when they had a real line in, but failed to reference that.) isn't really saying much. Also, three wins vs a lower tier point wise TWL squad isn't really saying a whole lot either.


As for your comparison of quicksand and hydra, the difference of points was essentially the same:17 of fistula and plade and quicksand less than hydra at 16, but the opponent average difference wasn't nearly as close, 105 vs 56. I agree that 56 is still pretty high, however in an attempt to get more points, quicksand tried to steal points from a squad that didn't entirely exist (this doesn't reflect well in a league where commitment is needed and a general desire to follow the rules) made that decision itself as they play by their own rules. I also understand that I play in TWLD so you may think that I have some bias to keep quicksand out (even though they would arguably make it more entertaining). However, again the situation being that other TWL ops were availible to give their opinions on the matter, none came up.

This is simply called "shoot the messenger." Pascone is the messenger, fall-guy, ritual sacrifice, etc etc, so everyone's redirecting their angst towards him.

I believe you when you say you had no bias with this decision. People who are upset with the decision will argue otherwise.

That does not mean the right decision was made. When one squad is qualified (Fistula #12, +15 games played) and the other is not qualified (Plade #14), they should at the very least compete for the final spot. Having more games played/better average rating does not make one squad better/more deserving then the other - Were these points ever stated before?

If Plade was out and Fistula was in, Plade people would be stating their case as well. The decision should be made based on the rules, which need to be defined more clearly, instead of by voting. Rules should be set up for exactly what a squad needs to do to qualify and how twd rankings are determined.

Do you know squads has different kind of players? Like basers or javs? apparently not, dont start egoing with ur 17-2 we can start doing that aswell if thats necessary. "Why is sage in lj maketso went 21-7 vs them, oMGZ?!"

And for losing some squads like dice, im not that kind of pussy who doesnt accept game if we dont have enough online, i accept if we got 4 who wants to play. Usually when we had our top line online and we were asking jd in twd chat. Squads had enough and there were squadpms "WE HAVE 6 ONLINE BUT WERE NOT PLAYING U HAHA"

Sure we coulda beat virtuosus,scam,double eclipse,OMGZ,Heist,antirage,dice(once) jeez. I mean there is nothing wrong in that but still, twl is league where the competetition should be high as possible, and we will make it higher than you, no offence mate.

umm like me being a wb you mean? that excuse is old. you're right, it's useless to talk about jd rec's. i just mentioned it because of scoop's comment about competition level etc, it just made me laugh so hard. let me tell you this: if you didnt get it earlier, there are only 4-5 good javelin-squads right now in trench wars. any real javelin would call both plade and fistula for cannon-fodder, and thats the end of it. and talking about twlj lineups... well i could honestly tell we have never played our twlj lineup yet.

in any case i said on thursday or something that you do (your squad) seem to have enough skill to be in twlj. im only implying that Fistula had an interest in lj, and we did what we were required to do and were fucked. in the army this was called 'the single soldiers voi voi' and yeah this is a pretty fucking voi voi case, and there's nothing we can do about it, just accept it and move on.

Fistula over Plade, please!

Plade should definitely be in over fistula. Plade has the javs to compete far better than them and even if it went to a playoffs conf would have to get like 40 kills to carry his team in a victory vs plade. Plade is just the better team and staff made the right decision.

I would put Fistula over Plade anyday, to be honest.

As a squad, Plade is nothing special - just a bunch of random people trying to solo, stray and at the end complain. A total opposite of a solid squadron that knows how to TEAM (new word for you guys, eh?).

If my memory serves me correctly - Plade literally whored some 'Average Rating' points by losing to top squadrons many, many times in row. They ended up with a bit higher average rating and then they just won some points of secondary squads with bad lineups. Does a squad like this really belong to the TWL? Not in my opinion.

About what Scoop said.. I would have to disagree. Plade has technically NO good javelins that knows something about teaming. Invidual skill is USELESS in the league anyways. Plade is not a competitive squad in TWLJ. All they do is try to aim but.. missing 70% their shots, barely dodging, almost never bulleting (bullet key is CTRL, by the way!), suiciding and hoping for the best. Oh yeah.. and you can't forget the funniest part of their gameplay - "Not teaming at all and running like headless chickens". Sorry.. but that is the fact.

Fistula should be playing TWLJ instead of Plade.

What happened to Fistula/Plade, Build/Plade and Hydra/Quicksand is complete Bullshit, to be honest. I too agree that Fistula would have put up a better fight, especially with Jones/Confluence playing, rather than Plade who really only has Maketso.
