My master recording for this match is 2.58GB, 20min. Video is compress with the lossless codec Lagarith, and audio is a wav (PCM). Yes, what is important is to see what is going on and names. People really loves to see themself into the player list, specialy specs. And file size is important... I recorded Extreme Games's finals, a few days ago. The game lasted 4h.. I cutted it down to 2h, but it sill do a 485MB video! 1 person download it :ermm: The half res, 171MB, got downloaded 20 times. I made a full res of a the last 12min, with around 800kbps. It made a 82.8MB file and 10 downloaded it. bah.

Thanks HeavenSent, x264 do perform well compressing Continuum videos.

I didn't want to add music on this one. I usually only put an opening song and 1 or 2 songs at the end. It is good that you ask what song people wants, they won't say they don't like your taste in music hehe. You doing a great job mixing and doing effects .

When I see you, maybe we can dicuss recording methods. Only thing that is missing from your video is better fps. Maybe 12fps is the best that you can get from your computer. Somedays, I will update my tutorial with latest tweaks.

I appreciate all comments. It keep improving the product. So far the comments I had : to have bigger bullet. Done. Don't always put hard metal music, lol. Computer choke with the full res, done the half res...

I can do lossless videos (my master recordings are (300-800 Mb)) but I size them down so people would be more willing to download them. For me, the things that matter are being able to clearly read the names, see the bullets and not get choppy... a decent quality of the ships is nice too. The videos for this past weekend i've been able to highlight the score & time so they can be legible on the distribution copy.

I liked your full res video Frankllr.

Personally, IMO, without the music the videos are kinda boring. Trying to get the right music in tempo with the game adds soooo much drama and intensity. Which also makes it ten times more entertaining. Also zooming in and out with the music adds to the drama effect. ^-^

Nice quality! It isn't perfect though. I'm sure you can make it 100% lossless. Could we also get next ones with HD resolution?

Hi Zizzo, Yes I can make it lossless, but size would be unpractical. I done another with 724kbps, wich is a 69% increase of my previous post. It is over by 20% of HeavenSent's videos, wich are around 600kbps. At those data rate, there are very few artefacts. Sorry, I cannot produce HD resolution (1920*1080) with my computer. Wanna be a sponsor B) ?

Alrighty, the Disoblige vs. Penetrate match is ready for the taking.
I put the songs on that Scoop wanted & 2 of the songs Soldierz wanted. I couldn't put all the songs on because the game wasn't that long, but I can put the others on the next match if you want.

Edit:>I made it extra long to catch the smack talk after the match. LOL

Also, check out my new custom gfx. I think they're a pretty good improvement from what I had. If anyone wants them, I'll zip 'em up and upload them too. B)

Hi, I made a test today with today's Disoblige vs Penetrate basing game.
I tried stuff, improved my methods of recording, processing, since last time I posted here.
I would like to hear what you think, especialy with the Two Third (2/3) res.
It is the 1st time I try it and it seems to be a good deal!

style could have won the match easily if they had of changed 1 or 2 to spids...


they simply raped opening fr battle for 4 minutes straight



even just one spid.. could have raped everyone, cleaning up kills
(considering the amount of energy it takes a spid to kill just one wb)
probably 5 shots each wb...

one spid could have made a massive gamechanging difference

Hell, even with 5 WBs they coulda done a lot more. Setting up one or two camping positions on cram attack and not shooting the rep-less sharks out in mid would have been a start.

I said it all during the match, and I'll say it here: playing 5 WBs is a nifty strategy, if you actually had a gameplan. But alas, it turned out to be just a joke lineup.
