I don't know what happened, but if it was not "correct" or did not amend the rules, there should be no need for an appeal. The higher staff should take appropriate action. Otherwise they are sending the message that it is okay to disobey the rules, as long as you're not caught by people. Staff knows what's right and what's wrong (although there have been cases where they've made some mistakes aka fistula not in TWLJ), but they should know what to do in this situation

See what happened was Pascone or one of his other capts/asscaps subbed in an ineligable player the host reconized it and specced him after he died once at 0-1 he had 3 lives... We still won, but w.e just if they dont follow the rules cause its pascone's squad then... Yea

Well stray's penalty should be a 0-50 loss instead of a 48-50 loss. This could be the deciding factor of who gets a playoff spot if three teams are tied at the end of the season.

I agree that something should be done, I think pascone does a great job but clearly his own squad deserves some punishment for this. I don't think they deserve to be kicked out of the league or anything but definitely loose some points.

From what TWL Ops have told me, a decision was made and it's up to pascone to post it (interesting how he gets to handle it despite the fact that it's his squad, and how he hasn't posted anything yet.)

Do you want me making decisions about my own squad? Wouldn't there be a degree of bias, at least someone would claim there would be. I told the other TWL ops to figure out a solution since the rules don't actually describe what a forfeit means score-wise. I doubt either way that it will really be a big difference since the basis is who beat who, not the total points.

But if you want me making decisions on my own squad, sure, the score of 50-48 stands (note, this is sarcastic).

Pascone, I agree to some degree that you making a punishment for your squad is a conflict of interest but if the other Smods are leaving it up to you and the rules say exactly what the punishment should be then cut through the beauracy and just do what needs to be done, if you don't do anything the discipline your squad this will only lead to more claims of abuse.

The 50-25 rule doesn't exist anymore, making it very fucking clear it's 50-0.

Interesting how it takes so many people and so much time to figure this out, and TWL Ops still can't manage to take a stand and finish it.

Maybe I'm blind, or maybe it's just cause I'm not involved and looking in. But I don't see the controversy.

Merriam-Webster says that a forfeit is "1: to lose or lose the right to especially by some error, offense, or crime" as a Transitive Verb. Or in the action of forfeiting.

This is also based on the assumption that Pasone's quote of "your squad will be dqed and forfeit the game. the captains and the player should know that they can't play since there are lists that everyone can see" is the actual quote he said about this. Therefore, if Stray added in non-playable people, then they are subject to Disqualification by Forfeit. Now, lastly, going to the TWL Rule List, Section 9.2, Rule 1 states.

Game Scoring and Results

If a game ends by result of a forfeit, the losing team will be given a score of 0 wins and 50 losses. The winning team will receive a score of 50 wins and 0 losses.

It's pretty cut and dry.
