So we will have "Trench Wars 'AOL' Basing league" or "Trench Wars 'Pepsi' Dueling League".


Could get even deeper and see squads supported by sponsors: Coca cola-Disoblige, Toys R' Us-Dice, D&T Boxes-Pandora...

Our game (TW) dies when priitk realizes that spending $1500 a month on this is worthless, regardless if he's made a lot of cash off skype. One day will come when the server's gone and you'll see smaller servers created, but this game as in continuum will not die. Since no one really 'owns' this game, it wont die even and when priitk stops funding it.

1. Running a server like TW's costs alot less the $1500/month nowdays, prices have fallen. I rent a cheap server with 1000GB bandwidth a month for $30/month. I doubt prittk even notices the money leaving for it.
2. If you want to do something support one of 3 new clients in development. They are starting to look exciting.
3. Stop whining its dying, its not.
4. Next TWL is going to be a good one

I think that is a primary aim of all the clients to be compatible of Mac, Linux & Windows. The Mac and Linux gaming markets are largely untapped, and represent our best chance of growth (less competition)

People should not get the wrong idea regarding the purpose of this post. Rather than to foretell this games doom, I made to this post to find people who are willing do something in order to increase player numbers.

Right now the number of players are fine, people mostly seem discouraged by the departure of some veterans. Since it's in our nature to glorify the past it may seem like the competition is decreasing, but there are other players, overshadowed by the fact that they need an - behind their name due to all the good names being taken. Whether they will become the best depends on the individual himself, but to claim that there will never be a better squad than Siege, Syndicate and what not is bullshit, because the game evolves and so do the players.

The effects of this "ad" campaign that I'm calling upon will probably not be noticable in league till maybe after two years, if not more. But when the times comes that some old squad dies or doesnt make TWL, we'll have plenty of supplies of fresh players to take their place and perhaps eventually take the competition to a different level. I guess that's what its all about, to keep the game going for the ones willing to play it.
