All this "game is dying" stuff reminds me of that one movie, where some boy had to save some imaginary planet.. and some real big dog had to give him a ride to those two big statues that shot laser beams out of their eyes. what was that movie again? fantasia? lolz:unsure:

SubSpace will die.... just like all games do...no matter how much you advertise (unless someone here is a venture capitalist and will decide to invest money to make a TV ad or something in that bandwidth ... but im sure as you all know V.C.'s invest to get a return later SOOOOOOOOO the point is jump off the ship now or sink with it later.

Honestly, I don't mind if the game dies or not, I've played it for long enough and I know it will never be the same. I don't have enough passion or time to dedicate to incite a TW REVOLUTION.

I share the antipathy entirely. We can keep pointing fingers at gameplay and pub settings and what have you, but the biggest part that's missing for me are the PLAYERS. I've been around to see some of my coolest peeps retire, and in that way, TW won't be the same.

I don't think we need a revolution to make the game successful *again*. We need new features to draw new players, and retain old players. Granted TW won't be the same for me, I would still be interested if someone came up with and implemented ships 9-12. I remember being online for a LONG time when ?go mario came out. So innovative new maps would be cool too. Btw what happened to superdave? He made the best maps

what sarger proposed is good, advertise is the way to go, to expose people to this game.

Just for example, in 1998 I played Half-Life TFC mod online. there was HUGE community in the world and even pretty big one here in Israel. Counter-Strike was out and TFC players started to decline.
After 6 years, and after many updates from Valve to improve the mods, TFC is almost completely dead. Counter-Strike has some communities but never near what it was before. Its just the nature of things.

Most important to say is that after Counter-Strike:Source was out, people still played CS1.6 and preferred it more. So new things doesn't necessarily bring the salvation.

I know that they record many numbers of statistic about continuum, Including the number of players in the servers. It will be interesting if they could show it on year scale from 1997 to 2007.

are you stupid? people would be more interested in the game because it would have further detail that way. word would spread around, etc. usually making games better brings in more people. i hope that wasn't too hard for you to understand ward.
