So...posting in that other thread made me realize just how retarded league staff really is. Seeing as how I didnt have a lot to do with this season, I dont think anyone can really just say 'ur just mad shit didnt go ur way'

First, the very start of the season included select squads being invited over others to TWL. I dont know if any of those squads lasted even half the season, let alone the whole thing. Some of this goes directly into my second point.

Second, this season clearly holds the record for most dissolved squads. I guess when you make a league, but you dont get invited into it, you're not going to care so much for the league that you ARE in. For example, fistula lost some personnel due to their javelins wanting to play on an LJ squad. Build also lost some people due to not having made LB despite qualifying.

Third, rules were very selectively followed. Take, for instance, Build getting knocked out of TWL because they didnt have at least 8 on their roster. Obviously this rule is open for interpretation as so many others were this season. Some would probably say that since they managed to field 5 every single week, what is the harm in them playing in the playoffs? On the same token, the playoff squads were already announced, and when a squad drops out of TWL the next highest rated non TWL team will replace it, which at the time was Viper. Instead of this happening, Disoblige was chosen to replace them in the playoffs, despite having already been eliminated from TWL.

Lastly, delectable was allowed to play despite having been banned. I dont care what the justification for this is, but if my 'roommate' came on my PC and used CE I would be held accountable for it since its my PC. There is no chance in hell that anyone would let me play the following day in the TWL finals (in fact, staff would be spamming LOL GOT HIM on chat). Most of the reason for this happening is just because pascone was on the same squad as dele.

Now what is the chance that the players who got screwed over by staff will care about twl next year knowing the same shit is going to happen to them again? I will say that I enjoy the fact that Thunder ended up getting screwed out of a title in much the same way that they screwed us over in season 9, but the point is that none of the smaller squads that hold leagues together have any reason to play anymore, since the odds are stacked against them from the start.

You speak as a loser. Small squads should play for fun and try do their best to get into league and get to a nice place. There is no reason that because of one or two bad acts by staff all this league is lost for the future.

I agree that the guy who run the league asks another staff to add a player that was banned, have a grim taste about it even tho its motive was pure.
The squads that dissolved were ran by dumb captains.

Don't give up hope, and if you speak like that, no body really need to give a shit about what you say. Its a PC game, live on.

you're forgetting that we threw a game for disoblige.

however, viper shouldn't've played. when a twl squad drops out the highest rated squad replaces them, yes. but the squad that replaces them enters the league with a record of 0-(however many games played, or something like that). since this was the end of the season, viper's record would've been 0-11 (i think). now what sense does that make having an 0-11 team in the playoffs? very little, yes.

personally i think the twl ops should gather 'round n sort out some shit with the rules. maybe ask a couple experienced and willing players to help out with the decision making, i'm unsure.

Once play-offs are passed the first round and a squad drops out during them, I think the squad playing them gets a bye.... Besides that, if it was noticed b4 the start of the play-offs and brought to staffs attention, the person with best ld record would get in... and it was noticed b4 the start of play-offs.

Just ask yourself the question: do you really think it's logicall to have a squad that didn't even play one round of TWL in TWL play-offs? are you seriously doubting that decision? I could understand you saying it was dumb that build got replaced by disoblige... But saying they should've been replaced by viper instead of disoblige is just stupid... Any person with a lil bit of common sence would see that... but I guess that's what you're lacking.

What Izor said was right on. I don't agree with alot of the stuff he says but, he hit the nail on the head. However Staff will continue to do what they do. From what I see TWL is the only reason most of the older players play. With the shit that went on this year, who knows if it will draw the players back.


I'm looking forward to the day when I open contiuum and all the zones are in red. It's going to happen in the not so distant future. When the "Vets" stop playing (I'm not a "Vet" more like a novice) and the game gets boring and repetitive people find something new.


Lastly, I think when P_L ran this game he did a great job with exception to fucking QS all them time. When Kim took on the job he really fucked shit up. P_L seemed to know how to micromanage. Kim just seems to be a tard with power(kinda like G.W.B).



Here is a Suggestion for Staff excluding Reaver and Dameon, lose the we are "Staff" mentality. Seems like when people get promoted they don't do the same things they used to, also they have this e-attitude.

-it's easy to look in hindsight and see how things went. when a squad plays like 15 basing games of 5v5 without playing any actual good squads and has a little more points than another squad that played much more often and played 8v8 vs the top squads, it's most likely that the second squad would be able to survive if they lost some games and would continue to compete. as for quicksand in twld, they had already showed us that they couldn't show 5 players to a game, in their only game. they also didn't seem to be a very flexible squad based on the other year when they lost their time and couldn't show players vs thunder. several factors need to be looked at, obviously in the end, it might not have been the right picks. but, it might have been worse if other squads were invited.

-it's really not hard to have 8 people on your roster. seriously. ok, you can get 5 people to your games, but you can't have another 3? obviously that limit was set to 8 for basing, but it isn't really too hard to ask for another 3 players. like someone already said, viper would have been 0-11. thus, the squad with the next best record was disoblige.

-i'd argue rudy hates dele, deluge, squadless, etc more than quicksand or pretty much anyone else that has played trench wars. so your rampant speculation on the matter doesn't really seem accurate. i can't really say much more about this as everything has already been said. who knows what would have happened if it was another squad.

sake was a small squad last year, yet we made it to the playoffs. so it's not really that hard. there will likely be a bunch of changes to twl next year, so it will be fine i'm sure

I actually have to agree with kid kaos, and a lot of the points made by Izor. He raises some questionable issues, and my question is, why does TW staff always bend policies? Those policies were established for a reason, and everytime it doesn't benefit a staff member, the policy gets bent in their favor. Staff corruption is killing the game, and this isn't only a league matter. You have your corrupt power-seeking individuals in the pub arenas, in game hosted arenas, etc. But it's been going on for years, so why does it matter? IT MATTERS BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T MAKE ANY CHANGES NOW, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES IN THE FUTURE...EVERYONE WILL HAVE QUIT BY THEN.

Just like seasons in any sports, or any seasons in TWL history, there will be whine on referee/management decisions.

It's impossible to have a season without drama, and situations calling for decisions that will upset a group of players regardless of what is decided.

Staff haters are quick to draw conclusions, leave out details, and attack staff head on blaming them for killing off everything.

I'm one of the players that has quit actively, and I did not quit because staff is ruining everything. I quit because the gaming industry is really picking up, and new amazing games keeps popping up left and right. Want an example of that? Pallies and World of Warcraft. With less players left, and less good squads to pick to compete in TWL, dropout rates will rise.

Bottom line: TWL staff is doing a fine job for a shitty, whining playerbase.
