TWL Season 6 Conferences/Pre Season

    Looking at the confernce splitting I think i can come up with the arggregate predictions of what all of the captains would voted for in their rankings

    Just for interest sake: My educated guess would be that the after the aggregate rankings were compiled, the four divisions were split via the following method:

    If the rankings were so:
    1. Squad 1
    2. Squad 2
    3. Squad 3
    4. Squad 4
    5. Squad 5

    They would be split into divisions as such:

    West - Div A
    Squad 1
    Squad 5

    West - Div B
    Squad 2
    etc

    East - Div A
    Squad 3
    etc

    East - Div B
    Squad 4
    etc

    following the pattern.

    Using the above algorithm its easy to trace back the aggregate rankings of all the captians they were sent to

    For those who still don't understand what I've said above, I'll just provide the results:

          Had to make a small change, somewhere in the confusion I forgot we werent going with divisions. My bad. It really doesnt change anything.

          In other news, I will be posting the playoff structure and schedules soon.

              The schedule is why. All the schedules and conference placement were based on the rankings you see above. I think you will all like how the schedule works out this season. If it doesnt really work out, we can always adjust it for next season.

                  East and West don't mean anything at all. He might as well called it the Epinephrine Division and the Pusher division

                  Please note that the seasonal rankings were created with the advice of 6 squad captains. We asked the captains of Shriek, Elusive (Rule not me), Light, Disoblige, Rampage, and Pallies as the squads which made all three leagues and as the squads which are the most favoured to succeed in the three leagues. The idea was that if every captain thought a bit differently, and every captain thought their squad was better than the next, they would balance eachother out. I believe this system has created a fair way of balancing the rankings.


                  The seasonal structure was designed after months (literally) of discussion between Pusher and I. We basically exhausted every single seasonal structure known to man.

                  We discussed at length various ranking formulas including TWD, past records, player polls, all captains, and we decided on what we finally used (as detailed above). We tried various amounts of squads and after lengthy discussion we settled on 16. We tried various amount of games per season and after deciding on what a Subspace league could reasonably take (based on previous TWLs and other SS leagues in other zones) we settled on 10 games.

                  What we generated then took into account fairness in terms of both fun and competitiveness of the middlepack squads (squads which aren't heavily favored to make or not make playoffs).

                  I hope you'll like what we decided on. It'll be posted as soon as we can.

                          I demand to know how Anti-Scrub wasn't ranked last in TWLJ. That is completely unacceptable.

                          Also, RR's question is a good one. Do you play everyone in your conference once and then go to playoffs? Twice and then playoffs?
