six teams in playoffs?

how many teams will be in the playoffs? i'm assuming four. here's my argument for six team playoffs. now that the teams have been cut-down to an all-time low of 8 (i'm assuming this, i came around when it was 14-squad twl, but at least it's an all-time low within the last 5 seasons or whatever), it means we're also looking at one of the shortest seasons in recent memory. i think it can be argued not necessarily that this is one of the most competitive seasons (at least for twlb) but a season with a lot of squads with a lot of decent players, meaning that the competition level of the squads is much closer then say last season where dice and juice were competing in the same league. with the addition of the twd-cup which promotes competition and in one way or another opens the league up to promote upsets, i think we should continue with that and open it up to six teams in playoffs.

i'm guessing stabwound will come in here and say what the fuck's the point of the regular season, in which i really won't be able to come up with anything great to say. the only retort i can think of is that playoffs are by far the most exciting part of twl, and this has only been emphasized over the past couple seasons with the lackluster regular season games. hopefully regular season is different this go-around but nonetheless, playoffs=boners.

id love to see more teams in LB, if this happens, keep twd cup and just give the winners of each respectable league their choice of a BYE week or somethin, iono....im in a rush, but ive been looking at LB ladder the past few weeks, there are lots of competition, more than recent years....

Point i would like to make is why bother trying in the regular season if 6 outta 8 squads make the play off...

You're only have to win like 2-3 games out of 7 to make playoffs....

Does a team that loses 4 games deserve to be in the playoffs? I think not, they've proved they arn't up to the standard of the other teams.

They have had their chance to cause upsets during the regualar season by winning some games....

Having 6 teams in the playoffs will only serve to devalue the games in regular season. Maybe thats what some teams want as this seems like an excuse for teams what worry they will do poorly, or not to try very hard thoughout the season to make the playoffs and enhance their egos.

Regular season games should be important and tence. Most people want games that matter not exhibition matches as it will turn into....once some squads have won like 3 games.

This is my personal opionion.
