There doesn't seem to be much point in having New Year's weekend off. At that point everyone has gone back to work, school, or home (etc.), so it doesn't seem like it will serve much purpose.

Christmas break, definitely have off.

Thanksgiving break.. kind of a toss-up. Personally, I am on break for Thanksgiving which means I have more time to play than usual. So I voted no. I expect most people will be in similar situations.

The Finns have 2nd highest population in SSCU Trench Wars. How about give us some special treatment too and....

postpone TWL for..

Finlands Independence Day (Dec. 6th, Saturday).

And there's bunch of other holidays, incl.

Advent Weekends (four of them, all during December)

Epiphany (January 6th, following with 6 weekends of Epiphany)

Candle Day (not sure if that's the right translation, it's the holiday you have 40 days after Christmas, Kynttilänpäivä in Finnish)

Annunciation (March 22-28, Sunday)

Palm Sunday (before Easter, following with like 30 different Easter Holidays)..

Hallelujah for Christianity.

And then some FINNISH HOLIDAYS.. More to come --

Just showing the fact that we have our holidays too -- why should YOU (Americans) have the priviledge to postpone TWL with one week if we (Europeans, Asians, Canadians, Australians) don't?

In my opinion, there should only be a break from TWL during an *INTERNATIONAL HOLIDAY* -- like Christmas.

I'm actually visiting America around Christmas-New Year time this year, so that might disrupt my playing in TWL (if we get in of course, heh). I think New Years' weekend will be most affected, so I've gone for that. Subspace has been a part of my life for 10 years, but it is exactly that - a part of my life. In no way is it the most important, and I urge people not to pick the 'no breaks' option because I am sure a lot of the older players still left in the game will not bother to turn up during some of the holidaytime, which can only serve to make competition less interesting.

If the majority of people want to cancel during US Thanksgiving then fine but a quid pro quo is in order.
