saturday games

is there a point to having them available to pick from when scheduling games? I ask for Saturday games because my squad would potentially (better chance than Sunday) be able to show our best players for once. So I guess my point is, either give out some Saturday games or just get rid of it from the scheduling so it doesn't taunt me. I don't understand how Saturday has become some sort of magical day of the week where nothing can occur. Don't want to hear the Euros chime in "wahh we gotta go out and drink on Saturday night!!!!! and parties!!!!" Can't you do this Friday? Sunday? Tuesday? I got euros on my squad that can and want to play Saturdays, why can't you? Day is more sacred than Christmas to you people

honestly though pasc, for a guy on staff you should know what you're proposing is majorly bias and was a waste of a thread. You can't just say - hey do this so my top players can show! Oh fuck the European population thats been an immensely strong core to this game for it's entire existance.

my point is why are saturday times available when no one ever accepts them. getting the times i want isn't the point of this. again, you're trying to speak for an entire continent by claiming they don't want the game on Sat. when i established already that i have euros on my squad that would play on Sat.

Perhaps the problem is more about a lack of times to choose from. why can't we play at 10am est or something if both squads would want to? hosting one game at that time would hardly be a difficult thing

Taking away Sat entirely just because it's frustrating that no one uses it is silly and pointless. It provides nothing positive, only takes away an option. Regardless of how little it's used, it's pointless to take it away.

Saturday: First day off from work (for normal 40/hr week people with weekends off) so thats when you do your shopping, activities etc (clearly you could consider this an activity pascone.. but except you)

Sunday: Relax and watch football before heading back to work. gets in the way of nothing

It's also for the community. Spectators.. Public Relations-type of thing. To maximize the population of the zone for something interesting. This season especially promotes this by forcing the teams to play on Sunday. Knowing there's a single day when all the matches are played, both the spectators and players will make a spot for it in their calendars. And if some important parts of those spectators and/or players can't make it, there's always a way to postpone a game as long as the reason is valid. The operators aren't cannibals, so as long as there's no real reason why a game should be forced to be played on a day that you might not get your best players - and us spectators can't make it - sure they could and should consider allowing you to postpone it.

I can't see why one shouldn't have the option to hold games on Saturday? We had that option last season and if both captains agree to a Saturday game why shouldn't it be legal? Who the fuck cares if more people show up just to spectate on Sundays on average. Trench Wars League shouldn't be about the spectators schedule it should be about best accomodating the players that perform schedule.

Well if im working on construction 5 days/week im not really into mood to get shitfaced on friday after work, rather play on sundays with hangover :grin:
