TWL-D Hot or Not Week 5 by Kthx.
Couple of close matches this week, but they all ended like predicted and as it turns out the featured match of the week was the featured match of the week. The Hot and Not was pretty easily distinguishable this week also, since they both came from one game. Thanks to Exalt, Dreamwin, and Connection for some notes on the games I missed.
Sake vs Thunder :::::
Sake finally shows a little bit more of their starting lineup but with Ripper missing this week for some reason. The match started out fairly close as both teams were afraid to play any close range shots, Deluge started 3-0, and Pascone started out 8-4. After Vitja died out at the halfway point I figured it was a pretty sure shot that Sake was going to pull this upset, but then Thunder came back, killing Deluge out and tieing the game at 35-35. After that Thunder managed to kill out Mega Newbie. Death Row who was 2-7 15 minutes into the game finally got subbed at this point while the game could have still gone either way at 40-43 with Thunder up. Halls got subbed in and after a few minutes was out 0-3, along with War who managed to put up a few more kills than I expected out of him against a great teaming effort from Thunder. Either way, Baserman who started out 0-3 ended up being the hero of the game with his 18-9, and I can't help but think that if Drow was a little less rusted, or if Ripper had been there to sub Drow instead of Halls it might have gone the other way.
Final Score - Thunder 50 - Sake 46
Dynasty vs Pirates :::::
This match started out very close for both teams, nobody was really positive, nobody was really negative, the game was tied at 22-22 when disaster struck. Or should I say Weak struck, he got trapped in the spawn zone and got raped out around 10 minutes into the match. After Weak was out everything went to shit for Dynasty, Unabled who was 2-2 was suddenly 2-7, and Ravage thought it would be a good idea to sub in. Just mark on the terrible decisions by Ravage board as he goes 0-3 and pretty much screwed any teaming that Regen/Geza/Exalt had formed. Scoop and Hercules put Dynasty on ice, dropping them to 3-2 this season.
Final Score - Pirates 50 - Dynasty 34
Quake vs Rape :::::
What a surprise start for Rape this week as they kept even with Quake even tieing the game at 25-25. Deliver was the champ for Rape this week as he put up 15 kills, and even being 12-6 at one point during the game. DA, and Kristy ended up dying out a little too early or else Deliver might have been able to do some more damage as his aim was hot today. Safia lagging out 3 times during the match doesn't really help very much either. Either way this was the best game I have seen Rape play, and I am pretty sure if they do that again next week vs Disoblige that they will get their first win this season.
Final Score - Quake 50 - Rape 39
Sweet vs Disoblige :::::
This game started out pretty tightly with Disoblige having a small lead until Pjotter decides to die out, and then to add insult to injury Da1andonly gets a +1 lagout. After that it was all downhill for Diso as Riverside took command for Sweet with an 8-3 and Misled (0-3) was subbed out for Dak who ended up going 6-1. The only good thing to say about this week for Disoblige was that Brokenfist had a good game, and if he had had a team that 9-3 he started out with wouldn't have turned into a 12-10. Next week will decide who is the last winless squad in TWLD, and I think it is going to be Disoblige.
Final Score - Sweet 50 - Disoblige 40
Heavy vs Syne :::::
You know Syne, you won a game last week so you would think that with 8 people in the arena eligable to play for your squad, that you would actually try vs Heavy. However you decided to play us 4v5 because you were too busy crying that Paky Dude wasn't online? Well that is pretty much the last straw, you guys are complete trash and you should be kicked out of the league. I would rather play Paladen or some other squad over you. Seriously this is why you have been a joke since your squad first formed several years ago.
Final Score - Heavy 50 - Syne 19

Hot player of the Week - BasermanX_85 ::::: (18-9)
Single handedly won the game for thunder this week, in a match that could have gone either way he really really pulled his head out of his ass from his 0-3, and won the game for his squad. 18-9, good game.
Not player of the Week - Death Row ::::: (2-7)
I personally, and many other people had high expectations from you this game, I figured when you were 2-5 that you were going to come back, you were going to shake off the rust and get some kills. But you really failed Sake, even B4's 18 kills would not have been as much of a factor if you had managed to get even 6 kills. You only needed 6 to win the game for your squad, and you failed.
