Well it was an interesting week in TWLB land. The two basing power houses of the last two years, Dice and Pandora, have fallen and left a great void which is quickly being filled by such teams as Thunder and Disoblige, while four other teams were each tied at 2-2 and battled for third place. I'm not sure if everyone else is getting better, or if I'm just getting worse, but there is definitely more competition this season than in previous years. One of the biggest differences to be seen this year is the successful use of Javelins, which brings us to our Hot pick of the week: Da1andonly of Disoblige!
Disoblige went up against Dice who, although they are 0-4 going into the match, are still a very competent squad. They still have one of the best shark duos to be found, cig smoke and a2m, and they still have some of the best spiders in the game, including megaman89 and cripple. Unfortunately, they also have a Jav, confluence, who is definitely decent but definitely not as much of a factor as Da1. Da1 had a total of 6 teks, a few of which were timed perfectly to counter a possible cram break by confluence. With a little lag to compliment his skills, Da1andonly continues to draw the attention of enemy sharks and Hot or Not commentators alike. An honorable mention to the rest of the Disoblige players; although I was too busy watching Da1 cast fireballs, I'm sure they did something important.
As for the Not pick, there are some possible choices. Clearly Dice, going 0-5, wants to be the not pick every week, but they really didn't play that bad a game at all. And then you have Basingcrew, who are almost worth mentioning in this forum but not quite. Spastic lost another game, but they don't care so why should we? No my friends, the Not pick of the week goes to a squad that holds a special place in my heart, because I own it, Mainliner. Why? you might ask. First off, Mainliner had pretty much their best line in, and they still got owned. And by who? Mother fucking Penetrate, if you can believe it. For years Jeenyuss has been "flexing his pecs" at me, and I would sort of shrug, ask anyone if they knew what the hell he was talking about, and then go on to calmly defeat Jeenyuss and move on. It would seem that all those push-ups have finally added up to something, and after seeing them in all their glory I have become lost and confused. Mainliner's Terr was not afraid to DOA his team, its sharks were more than able to rep right after their spiders exploded, and mainliner spiders such as Zung and Renzi were determined to reenact the Gaza invasion in an attempt to bring attention to this humane crisis. So please, donate to Hamas, and if you have a little left over, send it to Mainliner. A dishonorable mention goes out to Sarger, who is unfortunate to live in a country--Iceland--which seems to be going Bankrupt or falling into the ocean or something, which I guess creates too much lag to play in TWLB. How did I not see this coming.
