This week was very exciting with atleast three games to choose to watch from. All looked exciting on paper. Also this week we had a squad drop out! I didn't think it would happen this year.
Featured match::: Quake vs Thunder:::
This game is what seem'd to me as a down to the wire game I like to see. Heading into this match, I figured thunder had a shot. Then again Quake was undefeated so it was a tough call in my eyes. Down to biznuss. Early throughout this game it was a battle. Baserman was laying down the law for thunder, where on the other hand Raspi was just demolishing everything in the way. Heading down the stretch it was thunder 42 quake trailing 41. Things were looking great for thunder at this point outnumbering Quake. Needless to say this did not matter when raspi went on a royal rampage. Thunder might have won have they killed out skepsis. Bad captaining by thunder adding Fludd. On that huge roster im sure they have a capable 5th warbird. Quake still undefeated this year heading into a tough matchup next week vs Heavy. Also to mention quake made an interesting sub like thunder last week. They subbed out Vash, only to sub him back into the game moments later!
Final Score Quake 50 Thunder 46
Pirates vs HEAVY
Oh boy where should I start off..All through this week we had heated 2v2 matchups First to test the rock and sock connection was Scoop and chockle who got slammed. Then Vys and Chuckle decided to put rock and sock to the test and still came up short. So going into this week I knew it was going to be a battle. Well that thought didn't last long. First five minutes were even Pirates were down by three. Then apok turned on his beloved "Beast Mode" to give HEAVY the surge it needed to pull this one out. Shortly after that, BAM scoop was out of the game and Royal RaCka RaCkam took over. Relentless is the best word to describe what he did to pirates on this sunday. Izor wasn't hitting all of his rushes so kthx and annoyance stepped up huge in that department. Vys ran all over the place, heavy made the good choice to leave him and head back to the team to finish the ones who tried to stay and fight. So good game and great showing by Izor the "iceman" and company. (By the middle of this round it was over, when RaCka slammed the nail on the coffin, followed by kthx and company) (On a quick side note: Scoop's elementary tag tactics did not work out much for him whilst running for 22 minutes out of a 30 minute match earning a non-impressive 8-10 vs HEAVY's lineup. You are not "da MaN" after all :X)
Final score Pirates 34 Heavy 50
Sweet vs Rape
I would have thought that this maybe would have been much closer of a match if not a WIN for rape. That was short lived heading into the 8th minute of this game, Where Caos and Jones manhandled everyone in the way. Deliver played a poor mans game with a 4-10 record, Along with safia whom earned herself a wonderfull 1-10 this week. There was no teaming what so ever for Rape. Pretty much a lop sided game from the get go. Props to Valholy and Wage for actually showing up and putting in effort and atleast getting a decent record for the stat books. Rape's chances are slowly going away now..and Sweet just may creep in. Who knows what's in store in the weeks ahead. It will be interesting.
Final Score Sweet 50 Rape 28
Syne vs Sake
Nothing much to say syne didn't show four player's leading Mirrorrim with no other choice but to ask Paky Dude to name 5 midevil weapons. We all know how that turned out, Boom welcome WhiskeyJack!
Final score Syne 0 Sake 50
Disoblige vs Dynasty
Dynasty here played a very good match, Knowingly going into this game it would be a scratch up in the win column. Exalt(13-5) and unabled(14-7) carried this game for dynasty in the early stages of this game, BUT not without the help of a new upcoming player this year Regen. This guy deserves alot more credit then he has been given. He sacrifices many deaths to keep his players at equal deaths. A trait if only the better players had eh?. Decent win for dynasty, yet nothing to say to Disoblige other than better luck next year maybe. (Props also to Commander Kimbo Kaos to leading out the surge early with a 6-2 record)
Hot player of the week is awarded to none other than :::Raspi::: (18-10) Honorable mention goes to Royal RaCka RaCkam(13-5)for sending every Pirate member in his way straight to the plank!
Raspi single handidly beat thunder the whole way through this game, without raspi on this day Thunder would have taken this home. Sending quake with a first loss of the season. Had some great ending kills setting up his team with the victory!
Not player of the week is awarded to two people. Vys(6-10), Vitja(5-9).
Both played bad games in maybe what could have been wins if only they have been on the top of their games. I expect more out of Vitja like last year. Maybe he don't care anymore. Vys on the other hand the self-proclaimed mastermind best #1 warbird didn't bring his A game this day vs the rock and sock connection and company.
