TWL Website?
Greetings ladies & geeks of all ages.
So I have all but abstinated from this addiction for a while now and as I was extremely bored this evening I decided to swing into the TWL website to see how Trench Wars is still faring (who's still good, who's not playing anymore, what squads are still alive, did anyone Triple Crown yet, etc) and was hit with a wall of ... errors?
Looks like the site was totally revamped! It looks stylin' and everything but almost nothing works? Every link I click just sends me back to the same page I was previously at?
The only section that actually has any content is the "Hall of Fame", which is pretty cool because I found that I was inducted :wub: (but there was no encoding involved, it was a very basic layout)... but whatever happened to the "History" and all that fun stuff?
Actually the better question would be; What was wrong with the old site? The design was simple, not anesthetically pleasing but it did what it was suppose to do. That is to supply you with what you were looking for like stats, facts, information, rosters, bio's, predictions, links, etc.
Now the site is All Show'n No Go ... why wasn't the old information & coding just spiffed up to look like this new site? New designer starting everything from scratch? Why would there be an incomplete site be up in the first place? That's pretty unprofessional, wouldn't you rather keep the old one up until the new one was fully functional? That's my 2 cents but I don't even play anymore so if you guys are content then so be it B)
On a lighter note: Any oldies still actively playing this? I can't get any useful information out of the site and reading the other threads just shows Izor talking about and to himself (some things never changes haha) and over-glorifying his own team. I might just download the game again some day to drop in, is it still as active as before or is the population dwindling slowly? Seems like this forum is active but upon further inspection it's actually the same people rabidly posting repeatedly... heh.
