Thunder can hold a mean cram that's for sure, 'the shot' didn't make the game, but was a ground breaking event. We lacked seasonal practice and it showed - why doesn't anyone on my squad play ?go base when we can't get a BD going? From the day we entered the season, I could tell a couple of starters were getting cocky (especially Eelam - damn you can be the best spider in TW, but there's a reason you choke, you'll ignore this though).

The Shot:
It was when I was in cram by myself, trying to hold off for reinforcements (meaning Pirates were almost certain to get in at this point) and menel was respawning. DW feared a cram break (and shouldn't have, we had down the shark timing perfectly for months, only to have a reluctant terr not have the countdown correct). I did what I could for my oncoming spiders to rush back in behind me, but 4 or 5 of them were willing to stay on the right hand 'line' bar. Basically, M_M God - who I've played with for some years now, and has never disappointed me no matter what he has played - rocket bombed through the cram hole, and through the pub jav shot hole (that one with the diagonals, it looks like the L in tetris). This bomb bounced off the top and hit dead on to 5 of our players on the right hand side line which opened a hole for Pirates to hold a cram.

Obviously, this can be perfected in a private arena over and over again, but in play there is a very small percentage this shot can get off. You have to make sure the defending shark has no reps left (or a fourth rep), the second shark isn't on his way, no bullets are hitting you, you have a shark protecting you, and your team is attacking the cram anticipating a perfect shot. It's a 1 in a 10000000 shot against any basing squad, but he pulled it off with perfection.

M_M outdid Necro in this matchup. He lacked a huge fr presence, but so did Necro. Both teams spiders had too much of a volley-pull-back to have much resistance against a bomb threat. Once in a while though, I'd say 1/10, a jav will win a game with a couple of key shots.

I didn't have the game of my life, and I lacked practice, but goddamn did we ALL get outplayed. Like I said, I'm looking to the TWLB-P finals for sure. May be the last game I attend. Best of luck to both teams. I'm rooting for Penetrate only because Jeenyuss is a pimp.

Does anyone remember the crucial shot i think Demonfaze made vs -F- few seasons back when we won TWLJ. It went somehow like this: Syndicate was in deep shizzle, it was something like 2 vs 4 situation and almost everyone where at 9 except some -F- guy. -F- decided to regroup lower and take the left enterace if i remember right. Thats when Demonfaze shot and made a nice 3fer getting atleast 2 guys out of the game. Turned the game upside down and so we finally won



I also remember the Max B enterance in LB few seasons back also. Ate 1000 bullets and had infinite reps and spiked through tiles and so on, i still got the video somewhere :fear:

Thanks for your nice comments on the game PaulO. Like you said, this was a once in a lifetime shot (in TWL anyway) and everyone asking me how I did it and if I can do it again, its useless. Oh but you forgot to mention dw bursted our terr right before i did 'the shot', maybe thats why he backed up to the right thinking he was safe See you next year hopefully Paul.

Last year in twlj there was a match with heretic i believe and near the very end someone managed to land a 4fer or 3fer lol it was a last second clutch shot that determined the game

Draft you are fucking hilarious I would play against u anyday and put my whole house on stake because i know i couldnt lose to egofag like you.

actually i had 6mins of fame, and In that time I got over half of our whole flagtime. U had nice 23min run and got 2-3mins on clock, congratulations.

Fun fact in that game were that if we lasted 3mins longer server would have crashed.. Anyways, gg Pirates.

yeah that was easily the best thing i've ever seen in this game. demonfaze single handedly won lj finals by getting that 3fer
