I think AML should have priority over this.

AML got shot down by staff pretty quickly, even though it was me and a bunch others who had the idea.... so I don't really see it happening unless someone on staff decides to sponsor it

Foreign - look at ur post u say jav/basing back in the day was considered a crap league that u didnt want yet they turned into pillars of twl. Now u also consider the thought of twsl a dumb idea and ur doing the same thing saying scrap it.

Only rl problems i see with twsl is what ignite posted about being able to get ahead in points then have ur entire team spec for the win with a 1-3 min still to go depending on how many points ur ahead.

I hate to sound old and "back in my day"-ish, but I thought it was retarded when they added javs and basing to TWL. That said, it is clear now that they are also premier games in the zone. Warbird, Javelin, and Basing make up the three pillars of this zone.

The first problem I see with starting a "spider" league is the same problem with a "levi" or "lancaster" league. Sure, you can vote for them in elim, but they aren't what people generally want to play. The three most fun things to play naturally evolved into leagues. Adding something else for no real reason just seems forced to me. It will only be as popular as long as there is a big push from staff to make it so.

The second problem is scheduling. Staff is at an all-time low. I don't think that warrants adding 33% more scheduling to TWL. Also, adding a league would add difficulty for captains trying to schedule games for the REAL leagues.

The only way I'd support this league would be if it were the left-over league and was played NOT on Sunday. It might be funny to watch the newbie squads who couldn't make TWL fight it out in the league everyone knows doesn't matter. This would even give us REAL squads a chance to recruit from the sucky league the few players that have more potential. That would not only increase the talent pool in TWL but keep things even in the spider/TW Suck League.


P.S. I'm on board with what Jones said about priorities. This "pet project" should be the lowest priority behind getting the site/bots/rules/staff perfected for the next season.

Since you obviously do not understand my point let me spell it out for you:

I don't care about TWLS as long as it doesn't end up taking away time that could be spent on finishing TWL website or other various bot issues.

to avoid the whole running with flag thing couldn't you just make it so it's a race to X amount of points rather than a timed game where the team with the most points wins?
