So basically we should check the schedule first, then see if a medicore squad plays a very weak one. Then buy a few of that mediocore-squad. They of course do good and get a lot more value. Sell those, look at schedule again. And do the same thing till you have enough cash to buy the big-boys. -_-

I dunno how the value-thing will be working yet tho..

nopes, the skill difference between both squads will be taken account of when the player value is being calculated

Myth, i don't think that is a good idea. Squads pull upsets, and even better, so do players. Though a squad Eg. Burning Rose, against a tougher squad, lets say Melee, Burning Rose could probably have 1 player pull off a 16-10 and still lose, and same vice versa. So I believe it should be based by stat, Kills/Deaths, rather than putting into acct of their ladder ranking. That way, managers will have to eye out the people that will stick out in the team, even during tough matches, and while keep consistency against easier ones. Also, keep into consideration that TWL-M is not that main focus for the squad AS A WHOLE. Lets take Elusive for example, a high value player such as Psymorph will play with his team against Melee. Let's say that Elusive goes on to win 50-46, but psymorph gets a 7-8 rec. Since Elusive wins in the end, it doesn't matter what psymorph gets (in the opinion of their squad), but the reps that will backfire against the TWL-M that picked him, will be in a serious hole.

You should reconsider not implenting a skill difference between the squads, or making it subtle.

TWL-M is more about individual player skills. Your squad doesnt mean anything.. BUT enemy squad does. Against sucky squad you dont get really much of profit if you get good rec. But against good squad you get good profit if you get good rec.

Sorry, I don't quite understand what you mean.

I am not talking about the ladder ranking of the squad that's being used for the calculation. But rather the average value of the players playing on that team.

if a $100 player in Burning Rose gets 16-10 vs Elusive, he obviously should get more value than if he got the same rec vs whiterabbits, for instance.

It seems that the formula is going to look something like this:

YourNewValue = yourValue + ((kills - deaths) + ((enemyValue - yourValue) * ConstantA) + ConstantB) * ConstantC

enemyValue being the average value of the players on the enemy team.
ConstantA through C are yet to be determined

- We'll get new version on. Bug fixes, new formula to make starting value.

- Base manager isnt ready yet. It'll be sometime next weeki think.

- Also there'll be some stats on site. Players with best value, best profit and best managers. Or something like that.

- One idea i got is that we could later on make one manager for TWEL too. (If it's going to live again)

HELP NEEDED

I'm trying to figure out how to value players in base. Going with values in base if can make decent formulas. I have pretty good ones for every other ship but shark. Opinions what stats should effect to sharks value?!?

by the way, there's no point in having the "you can only pick 1 player from your own team" rule. all you're doing is allowing people on newb squads to have better teams than people on good squads.

remove the rule and keep it balanced for everyone. if people want to pick their whole team, fine. they'd better hope that their team doesn't choke.
