Is TWL areans' res capacity raised to 1440x900

According to some previous resolution-capacity thread, TWL would allow the usage of 1440x900 (it is as least what ph stated in his very first post in the topic). The resolution, however, has not been updated for ANY of the arenas yet. Is that for a reason or bound to change before sunday's preseason games?

Just played deathmatch on the old 1280-1024 res. Man that sucks. All u do is aim on the radar, and u have to have uber concentration to be able to dodge that close.
I think 1680 x 1050 would be good. Not too small, not too big. What say you?

I would want to see that resolution (or higher) in TWLJ and TWLB at the very least. Don't care what Warbirds say, but at least let the Javelins and Basers enjoy the game! :wub:

Not like a higher resolution in TWLJ / TWLB will help much if at all, unless you're playing on 800x600 or a similar resolution.

maybe i'm just getting old, but it seems like people have pretty high expectations by default these days. i suppose it's a product of the current generation combined with the ridiculously widespread availability and propagation of technology, technology that's improving at exponential rates.

Well, me and I think allot of other players have been playing widescreen for a while now. For me 1366×1024, for others 1440x1024. This is also an issue; ppl with Nvidia graphics cards can force 1440x1024, while ppl with Amd cards (like me) have to play 1366x1024. This is another reason to enable 1680x1050.
As for the getting old thing. I dont think that the avg desktop should be able to run at a 1680 resolution. But seeing as we are pc-gamers and all young ppl, it should be ok. So yes u might be getting old:P. I can really recommend a high resolution screen btw. It takes some getting used to, but the increase in workspace is great.

indeed, an increase in work space would be great were it not for the decrease in the quality of my vision as a result of squinting at tiny ass text and icons and what have you. ;]

Thats why u have to buy a big monitor. It compensates things. Instead of a 19inch 1680x1050 lcd, buy a 22 inch with the same resolution. Or a 27 inch 1920x1200.
Or, sit closer to the screen:P
