Another Idea for a more entertaining TWL.
So I have been going through the rshl.org hockey zone website, and I saw something really usefull and just cool. They have Replays of top plays of indevidual games that you can link up and watch right off the site. They also have replays of goals that they set up instantly for the spectators to view closely called goals and lag shots and just nice moves in general. I think this is something we could implement and spark more interest with. What do you guys think? Maybe not every game in a week but atleast for the "Games of the week."

I think this was brought up on these forums years ago. (I couldn't find the thread yet though) Someone responded and explained that TW-botcore runs on java and that the replay module is in C++.Originally posted by Diakka

used to enjoy watching recordings of lb matches, but these are really the only types of matches you could effectively record. in lj and ld matches, the action is not focused in a single place.

It's because they run on an ASSS server which has the capibility of making the server itself record what it see's using the language formats (scripts) it supports.Originally posted by Eeks View Post

The main reason we can't is because our server isn't designed for this.
It's 10+ years old as everyone knows...
And it wont change as long as ppl don't want to leave the comfort
of the SubGame servers paid for and run by PriitK.
PL has tried setting up an AS3 serv but it didn't go very far.
If we changed then the entire architecture of the zone would be changed.
Events, Arenas and Bots would have to be transferred to this server type...
Not like it can be done over night.

Why is it that small ass zones like EG and HZ have people pay for it and they are always running, yet we are screwed by PriitK's dinosaur fucking server? We are the best zone in subspace, and yet we are handcuffed... and we pretend like we can't fix it all the time....
Yet it seems to me all the other zones are up and running and run quite fine almost all of the time... TW crashes FAR more than any other zone does... by a large standard...
