TWLJ Week 1 Hot or Not; TWLJ Week 2 Predictions

Since I see that TWLJ has been quite neglected so far this TWL, I decided to efficiently use my time in a boring class and write a late week one hot or not as well as week two predictions.

Week One Hot or Not:

Hot: None

In a week of blowouts, it’s hard to isolate one hot player. Most players on winning teams played well as this was generally a week of poor matchups. So, although Mad, Dice, Rapid, Thunder and Shinobi all had some statistically impressive performances, they mean little given the caliber of their opponents. If I had to choose one player, I would probably have to give it to Hercules as he led his squad to victory against a Boss team that can prove to be surprising at times.

Not: Eelam

Not a big shock here. For the “self-proclaimed best jav in TW”, dropping a 4-10 just isn’t going to impress anyone. I guess Singer said it best when he said this would be the game where Eelam realizes he was useless to Thunder. To be honest, I was more worried about dying to Fludd’s 2fer tks than I was about dying to Eelam. I heard he was so depressed after this game that he was pming Ghoul asking for javelin tips. Oh well, hopefully you’ll experience greater success in the red ship this season.

Honourable mention: Hydra… do not know what happened here. A lot of your reasonable javs showed but performed well under expectations. Most people would have anticipated this to be the closest game of the week, especially since jav legend Creature was on the bench.

Regarding Fatal:

Haven't seen Kicker play jav much lately, so I don't know if Fatal is going to want to add him not knowing what he is capable of at the moment. As for Chance, he's having a rough period, hasn't played very well in TWL or TWD, so I can't see him starting this week. When he gets back to his form however, I would see no fault in putting him in the starting line. Finally, Jones always seemed like the type of cap that would let his other players play first, but he obviously could start. I guess in the end it will come down to whether he chooses to play himself or play Medic, who was the one starting Fatal player that didn't get completely raped against dice.

Regarding Cuji:

Cuji kept you guys in the game against Thunder last week. If it wasn't for Cuji the result would have been much different. I expect Eelam is going to try and prove everyone wrong after last week, so he should have a good game, but ultimately, if Cuji keeps up the gameplay of last week, Respect might surprise some good squads.

Regarding Dice:

Some people approached me in game and asked me about Dice's starting line this week. I realize this is not Dice's top line but they are playing against one of the lower seeded squads so I don't expect them to throw out everything they got. Megaman89 is known to sit and allow his other javs a chance when playing a mediocre squad. But I mean, after the pre-season loss he might also want to play himself just to avenge what happened. Just expect to see some of Dice's real starters on the bench today.
