Now for the real Hot or Not:

Mad vs Dice: 40-50

This was the first game of the season where these two powerhouses were truly tested. The result was hardly surprising; most people expected Dice to come out on top in the fashion that they did. The game could have been closer had Spawnisen shown up, but hey, I guess they had to work with what they had. Requiem (5-10), Flared (5-10), and Blood (5-10), particularly Blood, cost Mad the match without a doubt. Blood piled up the deaths early until he found himself 1-8 approximately five minutes into the match. Following the game, Requiem made quite a bold statement predicting this to be the championship match. It seems like he’s more focused on convincing TW that this is going to happen rather than actually making it happen. You have to show up with a lot more firepower than 5 kills if you want these so called dreams to become a reality Req. Moving on to Dice. Dice had a very balanced game with a reasonable production level from all five players. Megaman89 (12-6) was undeniably the leader and controlled the pace of the match throughout. For yet another season, Dice are showing themselves to be one of the top 2 squads in the league brushing off most competition with ease.

Rapid vs Thunder: 21-50

Another pounding was laid out by Thunder this weekend. Following last week’s 50-19 annihilation of Shinobi, Thunder put on another show tearing through Rapid’s struggling line. Rapid’s first issue arose from poor captainship. Keith (0-6) was subbed in while AFK, and by the time he woke up, it was too late to have any impact. Displaced (3-10) and Golden_Aim (2-10) also contributed to the embarrassing outcome of the game. Not sure what is going on, but Golden_Aim seems to be getting comfortable with the low scores following his 1-10 last week with a 2-10 this week. I no longer see a very promising future for Rapid, and I don’t expect them to get very far in the playoffs (if they even make them). On the other side of the board, all five Thunder players progressed through the match with relative ease, no one to isolate in particular. Following this weekend, Thunder and Dice are the only remaining undefeated LJ squads. The standings at the moment, in my opinion, should act as a very accurate foreshadow of how the playoffs will unfold.

Fatal vs Boss: 46-50

This was the closest game of the week, and possibly the closest game of the season thus far. Boss responded to my criticism last week with a strong a win over a Fatal squad riding some momentum following their previous thrashing of Respect. Fork (0-4) almost lost it for them early, but they managed to compose themselves with a good sub by Territory. Kid Cudi (12-9) for the first time this season stepped up and assumed that leadership role that I have been awaiting from him. Toxie (10-8) and Thrill (12-10) also had good performances. No one in particular really lost it for Fatal; Boss was just the better team this game. I guess Riverside. (3-7) didn’t really help the cause, but to assign the entire blame to him is unwarranted. If Boss continues to win the right games versus the lower tier squads, something that is apparently not too farfetched, I see a good possibility that they will reach that desired 6th seed as the playoffs approach.

Shinobi vs Respect: 50-40

This was also a predictable result. Following last week’s embarrassing performance, Wax guaranteed that Shinobi would show up to play from then on and they did just that this week. Respect continued their losing spree and have put themselves in a very difficult situation to acquire a playoff berth. With his early poor performance, Revered (0-4) was a factor in the loss, but like Fatal, Respect just played a very poor game as a team. On the other hand, Wax (13-5) led Shinobi followed by Tiduz (12-9) and Shan (11-9). There’s no doubt that Shinobi will make the playoffs, but I still worry about their consistency. I guess only time will tell if these guys can in fact stand any chance against the higher tier squads. If they are to, Hercules and Wax with their experience must step up, while the rest (Shan, Tiduz) should continue performing as well as they have been lately.

Sage vs Hydra: 0-0

Well, Hydra finally stepped down. Looking at the TWD ladder, I guess I’ll be the first to welcome Impala to TWLJ. These guys have some promising javs, and even though most lack TWL experience, I’m sure they will put on some good shows.

Yo it's not like 1-8 off the bat and finishing 5-10 is any worse than 5-10 in general. What's wrong with Mad is the fact that you haven't been axed yet.

I really couldn't attend that game or any other game for that matter, Why is private..

Atleast it's not playoffs, which is where we'll win.

And even if i would have been able to attend im lagging like danyaldenyo right now, TW is fucking fucked up.. Somebody should help me stop lagging since i've been lagfree for 10 years.

Fix your routers or something, staff do something.. people shouldn't lag in a crappy 2d spaceship game.. especially not with 100/100 MBits/s.

it's really annoying. I'll be glad to give charity money for a new server, im sure im not the only one getting this lag.. peace
