These are my personal opinions and feelings about the players / squads and how they did this season, including some "facts" with statistics and so on. You don't have to read this, in fact, I am just doing this out of boredom and am not putting much effort to this. Only thing that is annoying to work with are the statistics. They are a pain in the ass to work with, but I am adding them because they give a pretty good picture of who did well and who did not do well during the regular season, also shows the strongest players in a squad and so on.
Feel free to comment your thoughts about a specific squad and how they did this season if you want to do so.
TWLJ Standings after Regular Season:
11. Hydra (Replaced) - Captains: Kim & 24
Unfortunately there is not much to say about Hydra this season. Kim was inactive and 24 was not able to keep the squad active enough by himself. They played a grand total of 5 matches (2 Pre-Season matches) and their only honorable mention would be the win against Dice in Pre-Season.
In regular season they played (well, not really) a total of three matches. Their first week was normal and they managed to show enough players, but after that it's a completely different story. In the second week they showed 4 players, and on Week 3 they had a no show. Due to this they were removed from TWLJ and replaced by Impala. - Link
No honorable mentions for Hydra; rather than that a dishonorable mention for not showing enough players and dissolving.
Top 5 Players of Hydra:
10. Fatal - Captains: Jones, Terian & Riverside.
Some players claimed that Fatal could possibly be the dark horse in TWLJ this season but apparently they were wrong. Fatal had by far the weakest season of all the squads, although in my opinion they had the potential to make it to the Playoffs with their roster. My guess is that they did not care much about TWLJ as they are mainly a Warbird squad, although they did have the players that could have possibly lead them to the Playoffs.
Dishonorable mention, eh? Nothing major to mention. If I had to say something, then Fatal could've tried to focus on javelins a bit more. Another not-so-major thing to mention would be that some of their javelins left the squad mid-season.
Honorable mention for them for showing up enough players in every match and beating Respect in Week 2. That's basically all there is to say about Fatal, a slight dissapointment in my eyes, but good effort either way.
Top 5 Players of Fatal:
9. Impala
Impala replaced Hydra after Week 3. Impala did not have a bad season, even though ended up getting only 1 win out of 6 matches. They had to fight against tough opponents, such as Thunder, Mad, Respect & Boss, and put a good fight in all of the matches. Perhaps they could have made it to the Playoffs if they had played a full season and not been a replacement squad. Impala dissolved shortly after their TWLJ season was over and now their players are scattered around in other squads.
Only dishonorable mention I could think about is that some of their players left the squad before their season was over. Other than that, they did good.
Honorable mention for their good matches as underdogs. You guys did good considering your roster, so don't worry about it. After all, for some of you it was the first time playing TWL.
Top 5 Players of Impala:
8. Rapid - Captains: Violence, Sphinktor & Orgazmo
One of the three league squads, the weakest one of them if I may add that. I had higher expectations for Rapid this season, their roster looked pretty good, unfortunately their poor turnouts completely ruined their chances. Rapid ended up winning only two matches out of the nine. If they had been able to show their best lineups, then they would've made it to the Playoffs. Call it gut feeling if you want, but that's what my instincts are telling me.
No mentionable honorable mentions for Rapid. If I had to pick something, then my honorable mention would go to Qyll and Creature for doing OK this season in TWLJ.
Dishonorable mention (!) for Golden_Aim. He was in my opinion the strongest javelin in Rapid and had his worst season with a terrible score. Another dishonorable mention would go to their turnouts in matches, they had the potential and good players, but something went terribly wrong. Whether it was poor captainship or something else, it's none of my concern.
Top 5 Players of Rapid:
7. Sage - Captains: Spikey, Zizu & Kawrae
Another three league squad; Sage is doing fairly well in the other two leagues too, but unfortunately they did not make it to the Playoffs in TWLJ. They were close, but the match against Respect (Week 6, 35-50) made them get rank #7. They had a good season and were a positive suprise for me, too bad they couldn't make it to the Playoffs. Good luck in TWLD & TWLB!
Honorable mention goes without a doubt to Zizu who literally carried Sage in TWLJ. He had a great season and did one of the best performances this season. Congratulations!
No dishonorable mentions for Sage. Overall they had a great season in TWLJ. Too bad they barely failed to make it to the Playoffs.
Top 5 Players of Sage:
6. Respect - Captains: Vatican Assassin, Menelvagor & Diakka
A rather positive suprise from the two league squad. They made it to the Single Elimination and are facing Thunder, which is going to be a tough match for them. They probably had the most consistent season of all the squads in TWLJ, heck, even their kills and deaths are nearly similar. Coincidence? I don't think so! Haha.
Respects' season began in a terrible way with three losses. After that they made a very nice comeback, which is a noteworthy. Their winning spree started from their big win against Mad. I had my doubts after Week 3 about Respect, but guess they weren't too shabby after all. Respect seems to have a pretty solid team spirit and know how to play with each other.
No dishonorable mentions. Overall a solid season for Respect.
Honorable mention definitely goes to Cuji who is clearly the strongest javelin in Respect in terms of skill. Dreamwin and Hypocrit also get a note-worthy mention for showing up in all the matches and doing fairly well.
Top 5 Players of Respect:
5. Boss - Captains: Lorko, Scarce & Territory
A rather pleasant suprise to see Boss making it to the Playoffs. They will be facing Shinobi in the Single Elimination, it's surely going to be a great match to watch. If they can beat Shinobi they will face Dice (unless Respect can beat Thunder the same week) in Semi-Finals.
Their season was pretty much the same as Respects. Boss won the matches they were supposed to win and lost the ones they were supposed to lose, with one exceptation, the win against Dice which was a shocker to me. Boss' strength seems to be their ability to play as a team and having consistent performances from most of their players.
Honorable mention goes to Kid Cudi who was the most dominating player in Boss during regular season. Another honorable mention to their teaming ability which lead them all the way to the Playoffs.
No dishonorable mentions, good season for Boss. Well done and good luck!
Top 5 Players of Boss:
4. Shinobi - Captains: Beam, Dynasty & Lag Killer
Shinobi had a solid season with only three losses, all of which were against the strongest squads this season. They have nothing to be ashamed of, as they're the favourites to beat Boss in the Single Elimination, although I doubt that their odds won't be that good against Dice in Semi-Finals if they make it that far.
Their strength is the individual skill, rather than their teaming ability. If they can work a bit more on their teaming, then they could be a force to be reckoned with, although I doubt they still couldn't beat Dice (if they make it).
No real dishonorable mentions, besides Pjotter crying about eats, cheaters and laggots.
Honorable mentions for Shinobi go to their four strongest players; Shan, TiduZ, Hercules and Wax. All of them had a good season and should be proud of themselves.
Top 5 Players of Shinobi:
3. Thunder - Captains: Ease, Fludd & Burnt
Another three league squad, although they did drop from TWLB. Thunder is my personal favourite to win this season and repeat last seasons victory, probably in the same way too against Dice.
Thunder has had a strong season with only two losses (Mad & Dice) and most of their players have played extremely well. Their five starters are pretty obvious, and they even have great substitutes if one or two of them can't make it to the big games.
Dishonorable mention for not showing a decent lineup against Dice in regular season and lagging out all the time, and for adding Waven to that match. Haha.
Honorable mentions go to their whole squad for doing another great performance this season. Thunders strongest players, and their five starters, are Fludd, Ease, Exquisite, Marge and Amputate, and they rely on their individual skill more than they do with their teaming. If Thunder can fine-tune their teaming a bit more, they'll (in my opinion) win this season rather easily.
Top 5 Players of Thunder:
2. Mad - Captains: Spawnisen, Scoop & Apok
Overall probably the strongest three league squad this season, however we are not the favourites (in my opinion) in TWLJ. We will most likely get eliminated in the Semi-Finals against Thunder unless a miracle happens.
I am not sure what our true strength is. Sometimes we play well, sometimes we play terribly. It's probably the lack of playing together, as we most certainly aren't that good at teaming. Thank God we have about 5-6 weeks for our next TWLJ game, so we'll have plenty of time to practise. Oh, and our chances got a bit worse for this season after Requiem/Loki23 got axed from the squad. He was pretty good at teaming, actually.
No real dishonorable mentions for us, besides the loss against Respect. We had a solid season.
No point doing honorable mentions for my own squad. I personally had a suprisingly good season, but I still have plenty of flaws to work on (such as teaming) so I can't nominate myself as the honorable mention. Going to just go by the statistics in the Top 5 (and by looking at them you'll notice that even Shinobis statistics look better, could be a sign!)..
Top 5 Players of Mad:
1. Dice - Captains: Megaman89, Cig Smoke & Stayon
Dice won the regular season with only one loss against Boss (!). They are one of the favourites, along with Thunder, to win this season.
Dice doesn't really have a weakness and they play together fairly well. Their skill, individually, is one of the strongest this season and their roster is filled with extremely good players. Their strongest player(s) are without a doubt Megaman89 and Mess.
Dishonorable mention for losing to Boss and not acing TWLJ regular season; too bad I didn't see the match, just felt like adding that in this section.
Honorable mention for Megaman89 and Mess for doing great this season (as expected) and for Dice getting #1 Seed for Playoffs. I expect to see them in the Finals and put one hell of a fight against Thunder (or Mad.. though that's an unlikely scenario).
Top 5 Players of Dice:
My personal All-Star lineups (Top 10 + 4 Substitutes) would be..
There you have it. Now time for..
TWLJ Playoffs Prediction
As optimistic as I would love to be, the Playoffs in TWLJ seem to be decided between two squads and we (Mad) aren't one of the squads. Those two squads are Thunder and Dice, and call it gut feeling if you want, but I feel that they'll meet each other (yet again) in the Finals
I am hoping for TWL Staff to do single elimination as Best of Three instead of Best of One. That would eliminate the luck factor (mostly) and the best squads would be able to make it to the Semi-Finals.
Single elimination with Best of Three:
Thunder vs. Respect
If Thunder plays this match seriously (which they will, they want to beat Eelam up) this might end up as a slaughter. Thunder had a solid season with only two losses (Dice & Mad) and are one of the favourites to win this season. Respect was a pleasant suprise to see in the Playoffs, although their TWLJ Season is most likely going to end in this match within two rounds.
Respects only strength is their teaming ability. Some of their players can work together extremely well, which might pose a threat to Thunder. Respects leading players have been Cuji, Dreamwin and Hypocrit, with Eelam and Paradise as their 4th / 5th player.
Thunder on the other hand has been solid throughout the season, if you simply forget their match against Dice in which they added a garbage lineup and had lag issues. Their strength has been lying in individual skills, however I expect them to team extremely well now that the matches matter. Their key players are Marge, Fludd and Ease, with Exquisite and Amputate as solid 4th/5th. If Amputate really starts to work on his teaming, Thunder will surely win (in my opinion) this season and repeat last years victory (minus Maketso in Dice).
Lineup of Respect: Cuji, Dreamwin, Hypocrit, Eelam & Paradise
Substitutes: Shock Therapy, Revered & Kid
Lineup of Thunder: Ease, Fludd, Marge, Amputate, Exquisite
Substitutes: Steak666, Ceyve & Waven
Round 1: 50-37, Thunder wins.
MVP: Fludd
Round 2: 50-43, Thunder wins.
MVP: Ease
Thunder wins (2-0) and advances to Semi-Finals to face Mad.
Shinobi vs. Boss
Definitely a match worth watching. An epic battle between ranks #5 and #4; a match that could go for either team. Either way, the winner is most likely going to face Dice in the Semi-Finals.
Boss has been relying on their teaming ability and solid performances from Kid Cudi. Their other players have to step up and get better, as Shinobi is stronger than they are individually, although when it comes to teaming Boss does have the upper hand. Boss is the underdog in this match, but it'll surely be an exciting one to watch (and play, I suppose). Bosses key player is Kid Cudi, although Toxie and Locket have done fairly good as well.
Shinobi on the other hand has been solid throughout the season. With only three losses against the strongest squads in TWLJ (Dice, Thunder & Mad) and beating Boss during regular season, they're the slight favourites to win this match. Shinobis key player(s) have been Shan, Wax, TiduZ and Hercules and I am expecting them to do great in this match as well.
Lineup of Boss: Kid Cudi, Toxie, Locket, Scarce & Lorko
Substitutes: Fork, Thrill & Territory
Lineup of Shinobi: Shan, TiduZ, Wax, Hercules & Pjotter
Substitutes: Cross, Dawk & Pillow
Round 1: 50-42, Shinobi wins.
MVP: Shan
Round 2: 50-48, Boss wins.
MVP: Kid Cudi
Round 3: 50-38, Shinobi wins.
MVP: Hercules
Shinobi wins (2-1) and advances to Semi-Finals to face Dice.
Semi-Final (Best of Three):
Dice vs. Shinobi: Dice wins 2-0 (50-36, 50-41)
Thunder vs. Mad: Thunder wins 2-1 (50-44, 42-50, 50-46)
Final
Thunder vs. Dice: Thunder wins 2-1 (50-39, 42-50, 50-45)[/i]
Horray for long posts (in fact it's .. very long and useless). Let the emo raging and flame wars begin!
post scriptum: I basically wasted one and a half hour doing this. I simply were bored and decided to do something, now I'm going out. Bai. A post filled with meaningless garbage is a good post.

All-Star Lineup #2: Kid Cudi, HoTlAvAkInG, Ease, Exquisite, Marge Substitutes: Hercules, Turban
Code:
Zizu (Sage) - He did one of the most solid performances in Javelin this season. Megaman89 (Dice) - He's one of the greatest javelins in the game. Mess (Dice) - Same as above; had a slightly better regular season than Megaman89 Ease (Thunder) - One of my favourite players and a great javelin. Exquisite (Thunder) - One of the best teaming players in the game. Kid Cudi (Boss) - Leading star of Boss this season; good season. HLK (Dice) - One of my favourite players as well; good javelin. Cuji (Respect) - Respects' strongest javelin this season by a fair margin. Shan (Shinobi) - Great javelin, and he's finnish! What else could you ask for.. Marge (Thunder) - Good javelin that knows how to team pretty well. Fludd (Thunder) - One of the best javelins overall. Hercules (Shinobi) - Min-Min-Mineral man! He's teh man, and a good player. Amputate (Thunder) - A solid player with experience. Turban (Mad) - Just because someone told me to.. although I disagree.
