it's still going to take 2 weeks anyway and upsets are what people like to see

why isn't it enough that 12 squads got invited to twld? you want to have 8 squads in the playoffs? 2 squads dissolved. so 2 squads of the original 12 wouldn't make the playoffs? that would make the regular season the biggest waste of time which would completely devalue the undefeated season my squad is looking to put together. i'm all for playing the game and having fun, but there's got to be a limit to something. there's no chance at all 8 squads make the playoffs.

Epidemic: 500/398 = 1.256
Mad: 477/375 = 1.272
Thunder: 487/390 = 1.249

You guys have 2 more wins than Mad, yet they have a much better K/D. And imagine they beat sage and didn't get blown out 50-32...Does this still sound like a fair way to judge who gets in?

i'm calling 8 teams in the playoffs a waste of everyones time, as we saw from the regular season what squads are. i mean really, we've all been playing this game a fairly long time, we know generally who's better than who with the exception of the top 3 squads

The regular season shows which teams can perform when there's little at stake, I'm not downplaying your squadron because it's definitely solid, but I'm just thinking about Quake from last TWL season or the New England Patriots from a few seasons ago (NFL for all you who don't know)...both performed great during the regular season but choked when things really mattered.

Your squad has experience (and a previous championship under Stray right?) so I'm not doubting your capability, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some "upsets" in the playoffs. And like someone stated earlier, it's those "upsets" which actually make the playoffs more fun and interesting...prime example: March Madness. No one wants to see North Carolina, Florida, Duke or Maryland go all the way (shit, I don't follow NCAA Basketball anymore, they're probably not ranked too high these days huh?), we want Gonzaga baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!

look, i know you hate reading so i'll break it down 5 sentences or less:

you're arguing it's unfair "80%" of LD squads make playoffs so use +/- to determine who gets in. im saying +/- isnt a very fair way to choose who's out. i can actually agree letting 8 out of the 11 original squads (come on, serenity basically made it to the end and they weren't in playoff contention anyway) in playoffs makes regular season somewhat useless, but it's the more fair way (imo). if there is another way, use it.

also, 6 out of 9 squads (that didnt drop out) are in LJ/LB playoffs, so having 8 out of 11 squads in LD is not that far off from the other 2 leagues
