Match of the Week - Sage 50 - Dice 49
Just wow. While I was busy steamrolling Warpath I was missing this game. To be fair, I caught the best part of it as it was a terrible start from sage. These guys could have given up at any point that they were down by almost double digits, but they kept fighting back and eventually it came down to (what I saw) 1v3 45-49 at the end against Caos, mm89, and Mess. At this point I was already trying to figure out the tiebreak scenario as I half-assedly watched Zizu flying around in desperation. He caught my attention when he took Mess out by the right wall with a perfectly placed shot while backing up that caught Mess being too aggressive firing off a rock. He then made a couple nice jukes to escape the wrath of mm89, and caos just sat there watching like usual. 1v2 with two people that dont play the same style wasnt a completely unbelievable comeback, as RaCka proved earlier this year vs Burnt and Chokle (yes, I had to bring that up). mm89 was rushed out a few minutes later, as Caos once again offered up a teammate by providing him no backup. Now tied at 49, the pace of the game took a huge turn as Caos wanted no part in Zizu. The duel lasted the better part of the 12 minutes that were left on the clock at the start of it, but Caos ended up dying in a rather anticlimactic fashion by flying into a bullet shot from the edge of his screen. All things considered, this was clearly the best game of the season, and the best individual performance as it took Sage into the playoffs.
Epidemic 50 - Shinobi 31
This closes out Epidemic's perfect season. Strong performances from WAR and Mythril are what we've come to expect from them, and things look even better for them as delectable will most likely start practicing so he doesnt go 2-4 in the playoffs.
Mad 50 - Rapid 41
Rapid closes out their season just like the Denver Broncos of last year and hopefully this year by choking away a huge lead on a wild card berth. I know the Broncos really choked away their division and not the wild card btw, but it was the best comparison I could come up with! Mad really needs to get some better wbs ready for Thunder in the semis, because Evildeed and Unabled just wont cut it.
Fatal 50 - Dynasty 43
Kkdakilaickaikl or whatever his name is at least made this game interesting since Dynasty couldnt show 5 eligible players. Dynasty is so bad that even by spinning around shooting he still managed a kill. Basically being 4v4, this game was actually close until the end, when Dynastys wbs that choked all season long for other squads rallied together for one even bigger showing of ineptitude. The score went from 43-42 Fatal to 50-43 Fatal in about 2 minutes, ending Dynasty's hopes of playing spoiler.
Thunder 50 - Savanger 23
These guys (Sav) whined pretty bad about not being able to play 5 because of some bot 'error' and acted like a replay would have them win the game. I just dont know what they were thinking
Quicksand 50 - Warpath 24
Atwa (2-2) is clearly the star of this team. Who needs RaCka?
HOT player(s) of the week - Zizu (17-9)
Read the writeup for the Sage game or I can copy/paste it here. That game was all Zizu. Best performance of the season.
Honorable mention: mm89 (17-10) kid kaos (16-4)
NOT Player(s) of the week - juked/Golden_Aim (1-7/2-3)
This just capped off your failure of a season. I guess when you're adding a lack of talent like this you get those results though.
Honorable mention: the guy who subbed Cape for Evasive
