  • Questions about Webiste

    1. Shouldn't the squad with better kill/death ratio be in front of a squad with a less kill/death ratio when they have the same points? Right now it's squads with names starting from 'Z to A' on top. Why?

Note: only twld-western division has the correct system. There the squad with best kill/death ratio + most points is on top.

    2. Are we ever going to see more details on the match result, like who played and their scores? I know you guys have these stats because we can view players scores in twlm. So I'm wondering if there's ever gonna be something like this..? It would be pretty cool.

    3. Is it going to be possible to view the squads results. Right now every week last week's results are gone again and with every squad playing different matches it would be kinda nice to see 'how' a squad did to get his position.

    4. Is there ever going to be a ranking for predicting? Or is predicting just gonna stay unrated and be here for 'fun', I like competetive things..

    5. Is it ever going to be possible to view the website with IE?

    6. Another not so important question. Is it ever be possible to click on a squad and to get some information about the squad? Members, scores, ranks, like on twd-site. that would be pretty handy and cool.

        1. I just learned about ASC and DESC in sql queries... so thats fixed

regarding the rest of the stuff... We have all of the info and stats and stuff but we just have to figure out how to get them from the database and display them nicely. Hopefully we should have some sort of setup ready soon.

          Bram,

All of that stuff is already in the plans and has been for a while. Hopefully it will be implemented soon. We've been programming non-stop the last few days now to get all the new stuff you see working.

As for the stats we have them all in the database, we just need to figure out a way to display it all Hopefully it isn't too hard. Unfortunately Cpt and I are learning PHP and SQL as we are going along. And even more unfortunate is that becuase of the nature of access levels on the databases and so on we can't have anyone who isn't staff or super trusted to help us.

As for the IE bug I have no idea why it doesn't work. I've looked through it over and over and so has Mythrandir and it looks like it should be working. I know it works on some versions of IE, especially the newer versions, and of course on other browsers such as Mozilla (where the site looks perfect). It might have something to do with cookie settings on your own machine but I've messed around with my IE and no dice.
