  • Non-conference games !

"Each squad will play the other squads in their Conference once (7 games), and will play 3 Non-Conference games against squads that carry a similar ranking (based on the Captains Ranking Poll). There will be a total of 10 regular season games. "

Allright that's all good, but WHY would you play those three games in the begining of season, based on capt ranking poll, when you could play them AFTER you've played all squads in your own conference, which would actually make those games ranking-based ? Isn't that the point ?

and another thing- the assigned times when squads cannot agree upon a time need to be random- not first available.

Cause if a squad drops out, then by the end of the season, there will be some games which have nothing to do with rankings right?

The idea is to make it harder for good teams and easier for not so good teams so everyone gets a fair chance.

By having these games earlier, you lessen the chances of screwing that philosophy up.

Perhaps you could of brought this up in the 4 months the rules were posted

The fact is there is no such thing as random. Someone will always get screwed over no matter what system you use. So by having a system where it's set, everyone is at least treated the same and you don't have any surprizes.

Some squdas have been known to not accept any times on purpose, and in this way getting their preferred timeslot anyway through your system.

I don't know if this has been done yet this season, but it has happened before.
