These "respect" guys are my friends and they are a lot cooler than your whining ass was when you were on pandora ph, some people stick around and make squads better, some people just leave and join dice and win titles without trying.

I've made it to finals 3 times but I guess I got no job captaining, I suppose only 2 people in tw are capable of it since only 2 captains have won twlb since I began competing.

i won't lie, when cig told us he had to leave i felt the pressure, i mean here i was suddenly being thrown into the finals against basically the same squad that had talked a steady stream of shit after beating me in a couple of semifinals when i had supporting casts full of studs like eke and schope

then you subbed zung out and i spent the rest of the match with a phone to my ear pre-ordering my championship belt

This thread is interesting to me, it seems to touch on several issues that I think epitomize some of the primary problems with TW. Issues like, should a squad play those who ‘brought them to the dance’ or just use players during the pre-season and then recruit/play players who haven’t contributed but, for whatever reasons, are ‘all-stars’? Or the other issue that VA touches on, which is why do the same squad captains win each year?

My opinion is that TW ‘rewards’ the same handful of players every year. Year after year a few squads reorganize just before a league starts and are willing to play the ‘all stars’, regardless if those players have contributed throughout the year. This leaves the balance of the squads competing for the remaining player base and being nothing more than doormats for the 2-3 top tier squads and their 20-30 players who show up a few times per year.
I think as we have all seen, this isn’t exactly a sustainable approach. But, that’s just my opinion and I could be wrong.
