    Thoughts on Broadcasting TWL/TWD matches?

    Would there be interest if the best TWL games on Sundays were recorded and casted with commentary? Some guys on dice already want it but its best not to trust total judgment in someone like Havok and ask the rest of the community. There are popular ones for Starcraft II and other games already. I emcee live events on the side so casting a game would just be good practice. Basic video editing is also hobby of mine. Figured it would also be a good way to get more exposure for a dying game.

    Spent a few minutes and threw together something like this:

    I also recorded a jd to test everything (no-go on the audio approval). Didn't add the commentary, might start out with text annotations at first on critical plays (easier and less time consuming than actually speaking the entire time) layered with music on low volume:

      I know that we, people on sage, would love to have some games recorded in TWL, like the best twld/twlj/twlb match every weekend, and ofcourse the (semi) finals. Your recording quality is nice so with audio added (commentary and whatnot) it would definately make it even better to watch and people could watch the recording afterwards again or if they missed it, and comment on it too.

        Well, well, well... I was trying to do this myself, that is, record all the Fierce games during TWL.

        Though, you do a much better job at it than I would've done. So, speaking for myself, sure, sounds like a good idea. Do what you do.

            very good quality for a youtube video, especially when enabling 720p and making it run on a higher resolution.

            i'd say go for it. would be nice to have some TWL videos this year as well. just make sure that if you pick music, it's not from Sony Music Entertainment. those copyright shits are complete bullshit. or then you can just upload to another site. :P

              actually, rather than calling it decent quality, it's excellent quality. you can literally see every single detail of what's happening (chats, bullets, bombs, detailed explosions, names), no problem. one of the best recordings i've seen on this game. :P

                I'd suggest hosting them on both youtube and facebook. Youtubers will run across the video and wonder what it's about - free advertising right there. Then with facebook you can add it up and everyone who has facebook can link to it if they want so all their friends can see it and possibly start playing the game (that would be cool to have more friends start playing, I've already got a couple that do)

                            The recording quality is fantastic! I wouldn't mind seeing some twlb matching on youtube, whether it be the entire game, or maybe an edited highlight reel (though this may be more work that you need to do).
