I don't know what happened and honestly it isn't worth bitching about, but I was just wondering why the game time for our TWLD match, which wasn't denied by Sk8 and time ran out on it, was set to 4:30pm EST? It should've been at 5:00pm EST, which is what I had already chosen. I realized Sk8 asked for a 4:00pm EST time, just wondering if someone thought it be okay to just accommodate Sk8's schedule more so than Fierce's?

Maybe it's that I haven't been on and Quiz and/or Racka gave the okay for a time change or that the TWL match time slots for 5pm EST were filled up (which it shouldn't). Maybe I'm just being the atypical paranoid conspiracy theorist here, which in no way am I trying to say this is a conspiracy, just using that as an analogy for my querying.

Or... it could be the same problem from last week that Mythril posted about, which in this case I'm (Fierce) recieving the blunt end of the issue now.

In either case, was just curious...

P.s. If you're going to give me the "read the rules" thing, you should first know, the time scheduling for the TWLD match ran out yesterday night. I saw it on the site as 0 days 0 hours 0 mins left, or whatever it says.

generally if an agreement isn't reached i set the midpoint as game time whether or not the last time is denied

if you really want 4pm tell sk8 to accept the time rather than letting it sit for 48 hours because i have always treated that, and will continue to treat that, as a failed negotiation and split the time difference

So you're going to harbor the blame towards both squads for not checking with each other in-game at all times? That doesn't seem right. What if one squad wanted 1pm EST and the other wanted 5pm EST, would you just make it 3pm EST? Especially when one of the two squads is keeping up-to-date with the scheduling and doing their part?

It just seems like a bad principle to set into place, basically saying, it's okay to be a lazy prick, because I'll work with your situation regardless.

what do you want me to do? my hands are tied. if i set the game for 5, i've got sk8 bitching at me for accepting fierce's time over theirs. if i set it for 4, i've got fierce bitching at me for accepting a time that they declined. at least with 4:30 both squads will be equally pissed at me. there's no favoritism at work here. believe me, if i was going to give someone a scheduling favor, it wouldn't be sk8.

as for your hypothetical 1-5 situation, that would depend on a number of factors. if a 3:00 slot is available, it would likely go there in order to minimize favoritism. if that slot isn't available, it's probably going in the direction of whichever squad was more active and flexible with scheduling just because i don't like stubborn dicks. if both squads are being stubborn dicks, i say fuck it and flip a coin. i'm sorry if my practices are an inconvenience to players who only show up on sundays but this is what happens when people can't agree on a simple thing like what time of day to engage in five-on-five warbird space combat.

I seriously don't want to make this into something bigger than it isn't meant to be, but my inability to stfu and not speak my mind will continue this on a little longer. Also, I'm not meaning to get on your "bad side" either.

I would totally agree with you if Sk8 had kept negotiating a time on the TWL site. They posted a time for 4pm EST on Monday, that same Monday I had denied and changed the time to 5pm EST. After that point no more negotiations were happening. Time ran out mid-day Wednesday, but a time wasn't issued until tonight (Thursday).

I would completely agree with you on the evening out the timing conflicts if Sk8 were more demanding of a time slot. It just seemed that they didn't care enough to keep checking back on the site and managing the timing issues, which honestly, I don't blame them, seeing as how you'll just change the time to something more suiting to their needs either way. It is in the ninth week of TWL. All captains should know by now how to manage their squads.

I know I'm somewhat bashing Sk8 by saying all this, which isn't my intentions. Also, I find it a bit ironic that you would try to avoid favortism by evening out the times of the matches, but are in fact doing the exact opposite by taking it into your own authority to change the times to suite both squads when one squad wasn't infectious enough to make a time for themselves.

Anyways, I'm going to leave it here because I'm just sounding like a huge douche now, because this is a situation that probably should've never been a "situation" in the first place. My apologies for that.
