Okay, I just want to clear up a couple of things. The reason why there were no All-Star games as planned is because the person who was supposed to be in charge of running it, had to back out at the last minute because of some issues in real life. I was left with trying to schedule it in (around the holidays), after having to take it over on such short notice. There just wasn't time for me properly work things through with the voting and whatnot. I didn't want there to be some half-assed All-Star games so I decided to hold off on it for this season. I will, however, make sure that after the next TWL season there are All-Star games. Running these games was partly my idea and I was looking forward to it just as much as some of you guys were. In hindsight, I should've just left myself in charge of doing it instead of bringing someone else in, so you can blame me.

Now on to TWDT and TWL. The draft tourny will run before leagues seeing as TWL just ended basically 2 months ago. I know many of you aren't going to be happy about this decision, but TWL is supposed to be our 'big' thing and if we start having it every 2-3 months it wouldn't take long for a lot of you to start not caring about it and lose interest. Drafting will begin on February 13th, unless something goes horribly wrong. TWDT will last until around the end of April/beginning of May. Our hopes are that everything will run smoothly and we'll be able to begin the next season of TWL on May 8th.

Alright I am fine with your decision to not run TWL right this second, thats fine but why would we be so fucking anal about TWDT scheduling? What if we adopt a more "hockey zone" approach to games and have games during the week not just on the weekend. We can condense a 10 week I am assuming league into a 6 week league and also create activity during the weeks, do this at the same time as an "extended" final reset before TWL and then start TWL like a month or two after TWDT ends.

This would give us something to do constantly, it would make TWDT more fun (also you could schedule different leagues at different times instead of one huge orgy day of games where you are always short on QUALIFIED hosts), and it would give people two reasons to login during this time because its an extended twl qualification and also twdt.

As for the All-Star thing, it really wouldn't be hard to do, I think you could read cres's hot or nots (well you might end up dropping 20 IQ points) and find out who played the best week to week in birds. But something needs to be done to make the all-star game important. I would suggest having conferences in TWL like an Eastern/Western type thing and having the winning team of the all-star game get "home court" in their squads personal arenas in twl finals.

I would love to see TWDT run all week long, to give people a reason to log in but some players just aren't able to be on during specific times Monday - Friday. Perhaps as we gain more new players, we'll be able to give ourselves the option to run things like TWDT/TWHT throughout the week. With people playing from all different timezones, with work and school, it just doesn't seem like it would work out too well right now.

It works out just fine in Hockey Zone, I mean unless you are telling me staff is so terribly awful that if two squads agreed to play a match at lets say 8pm on a Wednesday night that there wouldn't be someone available to host it. I know I would personally love to log in and watch some matches during the week and I think it would pique some others interests as well. Also a lot of people probably do things on the weekend other than play continuum, during the week though I would assume most people just chill at the house after work or school and would be more likely to log into the game to play. We have never tried it so far, and I think we should honestly.

We might even gain more active twdt players than we would lose by having games during the weekdays over the weekends, and isn't that what this league is REALLY about since there are rules dictating how many "Stars" you can have in each game and how many leagues players can play in and whatnot. Weekend is very regular twl crowd, weekday might bring in the type of players we are looking for, newer players who are getting involves in leagues or trying to.

Oh also you should really add incentives to squad captains for not trying to overdose on picking up the best players in every league, you could easily do this by being able to do things with the leftover stars from the draft. Like for a star you can buy a player playing in a third league and all sorts of other stuff. I mean the thing above would help squads who are just having a shitty day for players logging in (happens) and would also give captains a reason to save some of those stars from picking up nothing but heavy hitters in the 3 leagues and then a bunch of random shitty players to just be punching bags while the good players get the kills.

I tried it with TWHT to run it on Thursday/Friday/Saturday. The teams could choose their own time the first few weeks. After I have choosen the times since rarely any team could agree on a time to play on. And I see the same thing happening for TWDT.
The problem is when Americans want to play (7 pm+) the Euro's are asleep. When the Euro's want to play the Americans are at work.

This is why you guys are viewed as corrupt pieces of crap, you fail to see what the general player community wants, and go with whatever floats your boat. If your decision made a BIT of sense, I wouldn't be whining like a faggot right now, but yeah, let's make TWL Playoffs happen during summer vacation, that'll generate some interest!

We wouldn't have TWL every 2-3 months, this was supposed to be the beginning of a perfectly timed TWL (mid-March), with no interruptions like the NFL (yeah, American, but it does take away from a lot of people), exams for us university/college students, and finally, SUMMER VACATION.
