As no one has done a lj thread, and how popular jav is, I thought I would give it a shot, feel free to add your own opinions and lines to my thread, this is just to get it started.
Dice vs Thunder
This match brings together last years two final squads in lj, and the front runners once again for lj finals. Dice will look to avenge their loss last year and will be led by megaman89, stayon, mess, flared, and infrared. Dice has some depth as they can still come with Spawnisen, Cape, and necromotic,zeebu, and myself (I wish) off bench. Thunder will be led by Ease, exquisite, teemo(turban),fludd, and maketso. They have a group of veteran javs and have the capability of winning it all once again. Their depth is also strong with evildeed and raples coming off the bench, along with steak666, if he decides to show up.
Winner Dice: 50-46
Sweet vs Fierce
Fierce ended last lj on a disappointing note, and that can be blamed on the inability of its javs to show on gameday. This season they will be led by zidane,waven,shock therapy,amputate/rough(if they show),nowyoudie,mhz,hercules/singer(if they show) There is some depth there, but then again inactivity has been a big part for most of those players. Sweet will look to make a splash this year and will be led by Eelam, Marge, scarce, 24, and tiduz. Off the bench they have lordy,notingame,rendered,lag killer. Now they have a pretty decent starting five, but I feel like they are gonna be very hit or miss. Scarce has been a good javelin the past few years, but I'm not sure their bench players will be able to step up when called on during the season.
Winner: Fierce 50-41 (assuming fierce's javs will show to this game)
Dynasty vs Sage
Dynasty has reformed rapidly and will look to upset some squads in lj. However their roster has taken a hit the past few days, and they are looking very thing at javelin. Dynasty will turn to cross,wrath,inaphyt, exploid, dome ( assuming no one else leaves roster within a few days). subs: dai shan, adam, roiwerk,austin,badjob,austin. This squad doesn't look to promising to me in this ship because the competition is pretty good and this squad just hasn't had the time necessary or the skill level to match up with the likes of thunder, dice, etc. Sage will be hit or miss all season and I contribute that just to their style of play. Their starting line will look something like : children,hypocrit,m_m god,fahrenheit,dreamwin. subs:masterful,reab,zizu,cuji They could give some teams a problem if they decide to play smart, but that will be seen on gamedays.
Winner: Sage 50-36
Hit vs Paladen
This is a matchup of squads that are going to be on the lower end of the standings in lj when its all said and done. Hits lineup will consist of sika, void ray, bender rodriguez, paradise, and rednaz. subs: heisman,lorko,slum. Bender and rednaz will probably have the best overall season for this squad, but I don't think they are going to win many games throughout the season. Paladen, has fought their way into all 3 leagues and I know even if they end up losing most of their games, they will show up and play it out, and I respect that. A lot of people don't feel like they deserve to be in lj or lb, but they are, so deal with it. Paladen will turn to tomas hakke, aboe, eradicate,scold (if he shows) ,william wallis ,versa,mithrandia,shock. I'm not sure who is going to start for them and whose going to sub, but it looks like its going to be a long season for them. I hope they can pull off a upset of two.
Winner: Hit 50-38
Disoblige vs Asians
This is the so called "play in" game for twlj. Winner stays in lj, loser is knocked out.
Disoblige, the grizzly old vets, will be led by healt,wax,ceyve/pjotter(if they show),set it off. Other than those guys, the depth is not there, and as their roster goes, if these guys don't show, they won't go! I would have loved to see the old roster of disoblige come back and give it a go this season, but unfortunately thats not going to happen. I look for them to struggle throughout the season just because the lack of depth and inactivity will kill them. Asians, who don't believe they should have to play in this game will have a lineup consisting of : disappearance, supreme authority, delta eagle, psyker, revered, and get shit on?.. I'm not too sure who is who on that squad to be honest, but this squad reminds me a lot of paladen to the point where, beyond one or two of the guys, there is little to no jav experience, let alone twl experience. If they get beyond disoblige in this game, look for them to struggle to yield a strong 5 in jav the whole season, the effort will be there, but the results won't be.
Winner: disoblige 50-42
Penetrate vs (????)
Penetrate will make their twlj debut this season and the twl site doesn't show them, but thanks to rasaq for reminding me, Ill still post their javs and possible lineup here. They will most likely face the winner of diso/asians, but I'm not sure. Penetrate will be led by Trasher, Riksa, Dead_Rain and shayde/bacon and have executed as a capable sub. I'm not too sure who else will be able to provide decent support, but this squad will put up a few good scores, however, I think they will fall short come playoff time.
