I know that this is playoff's and nobody is really adding too much effort yet. Still going to go on with HoN though.
Sweet vs Fierce
40 - 50
This started off very very slow with each team taking each others blows like prized fighters. Riverside was trying to dodge dip dive duck through the lines of Fierce to cause some strays/lure's. He was actually doing a good job. Only problem was they were not hitting them. Dak had a pretty good game (14-10) which earned him MVP. Engineers and Ricko played awful. They really didn't provide much support for Riverside when he was making lures. Eric Clapton also had a decent game. BUT: With the return of RaCka really helped push back the enemy alongside with Skepsis while DEEZ NUTS was picking them off left and right like a sniper in the trees. Death Row had a very serious comeback. It was close also at the end where sweet failed to send DEEZ into spec. He must have been on 9 lives for about 10 minutes. All around though it was a good game.
Paladen vs Dynasty
36 - 50
I actually thought this would come down to a 1v1 type game with both people being on like 8 deaths, with a epic duel at hand. This was totally the opposite. Vida, Sphinktor, and Kthx had other plans. They wanted to end this quick and inflict a lot of pain which they did. Hit nearly all of their rushes and dodged well in the mid range department. Vida went off the charts with a 16-6, sphinktor 12-6 and Kthx with a 9-6. Papa Diop was the only one on Paladen to manage to not go down without a fight. I expect Paladen to work out their kink's now that pre-season is out of the way.
Penetrate vs Hit
40 - 50
Honestly IMO I thought hit wouldn't win much in TWLD this year. Today they showed a positive side. Penetrate is made up of what I would like to call a lot of young talent, maybe all of them could be ROTY's. I would like to see them do well this year, they have always played together the past couple years it looks like. Unfortunately Sika (19-7) had other plans for today. He totally and utterly obliterated Penetrate sending them back to spec scratching their heads telling their captains that "Oh no we in trouble". Sir spider (12-10) played a well rounded game, along with Rasaq (8-10). Maybe HIT is the big underdog this year with a 1 player powerhouse leading the charge. Cres is going to need to step up this year and stop playing like Hedo from 40 ft away.
Dice vs Asians
50 - 46
I hands down think that dice has a chance to go far this year, hell maybe even finals. Should defiantly be a good year for them finally instead of trying to make TWLD each year and dissolving. Asians did have 3 of their guys step up and get that even ratio, which they did what they needed to do. (Resurrected, QPR, MITB). Unabled and Ass 2 Mouth won this one for dice today with a very close game down the stretch. I expected VYS to be running this squad. Too bad he had a dismal performance (3-7 Subbed).
Thunder vs Epidemic
50 - 47
Thunder adding weird lineups for pre-season and then im guessing they will bring down the sledgehammer so these games are not quite as close next time. Although Thunder was playing the previous squad that has won TWLD don't you forget "Stray". Lead by Delectable, Pascone, and Deluge (if he plays). Dele, Elven and Pascone lead their team pretty well with a close loss to boot. Tohn was the one whom solidified Thunders win today with an impressive 14-9.
Hot Player of The Week:
Sika, (19-7) and Vida (16-6). I can't just give this award to Sika alone, due to the fact I didn't see dynasty really slamming paladen as hard as they did. Prop's to kid kaos for returning and laying down the law.
Not Player of The Week:
Engineers (4-10) He claims he is going to have a very very strong season and hopefully a force to be reckoned with in the playoff's. He just showed me nothing today but sitting still and launching wild shots.
