Lift softlock and make it week 3?

Not sure if you guys intended on making softlock Sunday or if you set the date for the 23rd before asking if there should be a 2nd preseason game, but squads like Paladen and ourselves could use some help in bird. Paladen just recently got Aerin back and we've been in talks with 3-4 players for the last couple weeks who wanted to wait around and see if they were starting for their squad before they decided to make a move. You have 2 stacked squads that could probably care less about the softlock, but now that the games matter and the starting lines are made, there are probably a few unhappy warbirds (after this Sunday) who'd love to join and be starters on other squads, I know one who's unhappy for sure and showed interest in joining us. It's my fault for not reading the rules, but having softlock in week 1 is pretty dumb in itself. I was thinking back to a couple years ago when I left Wolf and joined Shinobi for their week 4 match, thought that process took place during softlock which it didn't, it took place before softlock. Not to soon to change it. -.-

They went by the TWL rules, meaning that after the first regular weeks matches the soft lock will be in place. Either way, there's no point to lift the soft lock nor change the rules that have been around for several years now.

actually i moved both locks back a week two seasons ago and it worked out fine

Thanks...you're against me and in agreeance with me on your comment. The rules for Season 13 were in place for week 3. I was on Wolf and left them week 2...had to sit a game out which was week 3 and started for Shinobi week 4. Also, last year wasn't there some shit going on with infrared? I could've sworn he made 3 moves last year leaving one squad, joining another, then joining back with the squad he originally left.

Point is, preseason you see different lineups and people get to play. Regular season comes, those same people are sat and could start for another squad who aren't strong contenders and could be with a move early in the season and as is the case for some, are looking to do so. I know Paladen would love this because having Aerin back and TWL rostered, could help win them some games. I know you look at it as if it doesn't matter, wouldn't help much, but if we can get another piece for our line we can compete for a playoff spot which would be a huge accomplishment for our young core.

Delectable, that's just a general rule (something about waiting period, can't bother to go to the TWL website) that they have to wait one week to play when joining a squad. Also, my bad about that PH, I didn't pay much attention to those seasons soft and hard lock rule changes because I wasn't going to change squads either way, but I'm pretty sure the seasons that were before your time had their soft lock period after Week 1 -- unless my memory really sucks that much.

If the soft lock were to be lifted, it should be now. I don't care either way, but it's already in place and you can still recruit players that aren't in a squads TWL roster, though I'm sure some players would love to hop squads to get some playing time.

I'm pretty sure the seasons that were before your time had their soft lock period after Week 1

those seasons sucked and were marred by crooked/inactive ops so they don't matter

though i do see that some players have joined new squads recently, the lock dates were announced more than a month ago. everyone has had plenty of time to plan accordingly. it's possible the date could have been changed if it was going to a problem but when no one complains until a couple days after the locks take place i can't help but say that it's no ones fault but your own. if i run twl again next season i'll consider postponing the dates but like i said, the dates were clearly announced and no one said a word until now. the lock dates will remain place for this season, you've had plenty of time to plan accordingly. any problems feel free to contact me in-game or ?message me. thread closed.
