This is going to be a fairly lengthy and complicated post, so I ask that anyone who reads this sticks it out, makes it to the end, and if you still have questions to post them here, I'll answer them as often as I can or another TWL Op will.
As most everyone is probably aware by now, Disoblige gave up their spots in TWLB and TWLJ, and both of these spots have been granted to Tenure. This is, to my knowledge, a completely unique situation. I do not ever recall a squad being granted entry into TWL as a replacement squad in different leagues, at different times. As such, the rules do not cover this situation at all, and we have had to make certain judgement calls due to this unforeseen situation. We acknowledge that this is a major shortcoming in the rules list, we are aware of this, however due to the circumstances we have had to make an emergency addition that I will post shortly.
That being said, our new rule for this situation only (it may or may not be tweaked and added as a permament rule, I don't know that's not my call) is: Due to the fact that Tenure has players that have played games in a certain league after the hard lock, any player that has played in a game after the hard lock will be barred from participating IN THAT LEAGUE for the remainder of the season. I realize that this is probably not the clearest rule ever written, give me a break I'm not a lawyer. So let's spell it out. That rule basically applies to only 4 players on Tenure's roster, Cig Smoke, Moot, Dwopple, and Yellow Rice.
Cig Smoke - Allowed to play in the final 2 TWLD and TWLJ games for Tenure, cannot play in the final 2 TWLB games.
Moot - Allowed to play in the final 2 TWLD and TWLJ games for Tenure, cannot play in the final 2 TWLB games.
Dwopple - Allowed to play in the final 2 TWLD and TWLJ games for Tenure, cannot play in the final 2 TWLB games.
Yellow Rice - Allowed to play in the final 2 TWLD and TWLJ games for Tenure, cannot play in the final 2 TWLB games.
We understand that there is going to be a huge amount of backlash from the community due to these changes. We didn't make them lightly, we came to the decision after speaking to Tenure's captains and captains of other squads. We ask that you understand the extremely unique and unlikely situation that we and Tenure have been thrust into. It would be unfair to allow these players to play in all the leagues, but at the same time it is unfair to expect a squad that did not get added until weeks 7/8 to be able to adhere to locks set in weeks 1 and 3 respectively. We feel that this is the best fair to ensure fair gameplay for all parties involved, but we are more than aware that many of you will not feel the same way.
I apologize for how unorganized this post is, I really did do my best on it. Any questions can of course be posted and they will be responded to as quickly as we can possibly do so. As though you really need permission, complaints and personal attacks can also be posted here. The complaints will be taken into consideration, and the personal attacks may or may not be responded to in turn (probably by me $). Any complaints that you wish to raise in game can be delivered ideally to myself, as it's my job, or to any TWL op. Inevitably I know some of you will do ?help calls but I ask that you do so as a very last resort, and do so respectfully. This situation is not important enough to merit getting in trouble for.
Let the flaming commence.
