Alright so we had an interesting time figuring out the seeding this year, but we finally got it done.
TWLD
1. Thunder
2. Fierce
3. Dice
4. Penetrate
5. Sweet
6. Asians
Thunder gets the number 1 seed over Fierce due to the fact Thunder won their regular season head to head matchup with Fierce. Sweet gets the number 5 seed over Asians due to winning their regular season head to head matchup.
TWLJ
1. Dice
2. Thunder
3. Sage
4. Sweet
5. Fierce
6. Hit
This was the hardest league to get the seeding down for. Sage, Sweet, and Fierce were locked in a 3 way tie for the 3rd spot. The first tiebreaking method, head to head matchups, was no good because all 3 teams went 1-1 against each other, like a bad game of rock, paper, scissors. The next method is total kills, Fierce: 393, Sweet: 402, sage: 410. So there you have it, that's how those seeds were determined.
TWLB
1. Dice
2. Penetrate
3. Sage
4. Pandora
5. Thunder
6. Anti-Scrub
The most clear cut league, very nice.
Information
For those of you who forgot or don't know, the top 2 seeds in each division get a first week bye. Let me repeat that, the number 1 and number 2 squad in each league do not play the first week, they automatically advance to the semifinals. Moving on, the number 3 seed plays the number 6 seed, which leaves the 4th seed and 5th seed to slug it out. Now, this is the important part, there will be a reseeding after the first round matchup. What this means is that after the quarterfinals, the 1 seed will automatically play the lowest ranked team remaining, and that leaves the 2 seed to play the other.
So because that is shitty to explain, lets take an example. I'll use LB as an example because I want to. Dice and Penetrate have a first round bye, Sage plays A-S and Pandora plays Thunder. Lets say that Sage (3) and Thunder (5) both win. Dice would play Thunder, Penetrate would play Sage. Now lets switch it up to cover all the bases, and say that A-S (6) and Thunder (5) win. Dice would play A-S, and now Penetrate would play Thunder.
Also, another change, TWLJ and TWLD playoffs will be a best of 3 series, while TWLB playoffs is a 20 minute time race.
I hope this all makes sense to you guys. I understand that I am not the best at explaining things, so you can either post in here or get a hold of one of us in game and we'll try to clarify any questions you have. The games are also being added to the TWL website as I'm writing this, so feel free to check out the website and see what's going on without having to read a novel.
