why dont we have any shipchanges in twlb ?

This has been bouncing around a lot. The entire discussion from start to finish is pretty much summed up here:

There are no shipchanges because with shipchanges you should team setup. For example in a game with 3 spids 1 wb 1 jav vs 4 spids and jav the team with 4 spids might change to 5 spids to get an unfair advantage over 3 spids and then everyone would keep changing and changing ships. Limited shipchanges would eventually be even worse because then the team who would run out of shipchanges first would be left with the disadvantage.

This is why you have blind lineup picking and no shipchanges. The teams have to make a setup that they can play for the whole game. You can't do 5 spids and then put a jav in when you get the base like some teams might do in twd. Besides you have unlimited switches so you can change the lineups during the game if someone does bad.
