Season 16 is anticipated to be the most competitive season for TWL-B in years, with several squads capable of contending for the title. But who will take it? Here are some TWL-B predictions for this season, brought to you by myself and renzi. Expect the line-ups to be updated as pre-TWL roster movement commences.

Lineup:

Sharks – Veloce + Fermata (El_Mariachi | Downfall)

Predictions:
Pressure - Contender – Penetrate comes season after season with a great lineup of conditioned basers. Definite semi-finalist, probably finalist. Don’t think they did as well as they could have last season without the veloce/fermata pair, so as long as they do their thing Pene will be golden. squallFF8 is their new blood and I’m sure he’ll fit right in as he fairs well on solid teams. Bacon is a great prospect, and I assume he'll be a starting under. Otherwise it'll be AcidBomber, who's the most annoying fuck to vs. in a BD (in a good way). Expect a great season from this squad.
Renzi – same line as always. expect good things as always. will see in semi's for sure and in finals probably impact player: veloce, prospect: squallff8
Heist
Lineup:

Predictions:
Pressure – Contender – Probably a semi-finalist, also probably the most aggressive spider line and most depths in shark. Look for whatever variation of for Cig/Dwop/Vati to really hold them together while sspk kami’s and RUCCI/sarger/renzi/5th clean up. Gazo is good , but fuck these guys if they use a lanc in twl, I still think specials should be removed. They’ll do really well, easily one of the dirtiest basing lineups around (but there are a lot of competitive lines this season, so pardon the redundancy). Blahhy. is their prospect, even though he played a bit for dice last season, so it’s his time to shine if he gets playing time. Sharks are their key to winning.
Renzi – interesting mash up of some dice/pandora/sage. on paper should do well. has top sharks in the zone as well as best depth in having cig, dwop, vati, and vehicle. pnus. impact: dwopple or sarger, look out for blahhy
Real
Lineup:

Predictions:
Pressure – Contender – As I said before, I’ve been pretty excited about this season strictly because a lot of players from the good old days have returned (a lot of which went to Real). They have a nice blend of some powerhouse basers and veteran duelers (who used to base as well), so I’m sure they’ll fair well. I don’t think they will win TWL-B, and even though they have the talent I don’t see them making finals. However in the past plenty of squads have shown they are capable of developing chemistry as a season progresses (i.e. – Pirates), so I hope they surprise me. I’ve vs’d them in some exciting, close bd’s so I do think they have what it takes to upset and make finals and even win, but if Spikey, hellkite or mene miss games I don’t see them performing at their top level, so these guys are essentially their impact players. Assuming that they do well, Weaver will be a breakout spider (even though he’s already a proven beast, he hasn’t based in a while so he’ll show the newer generation of basers what he’s capable of).
Renzi – these guys are looking real good. looks like they have most of those duelers who can compete with top basers. adding spikey and kawrae to their line (fuck you guys) was definitely a plus. also, i cant believe that confluence is 58 years old with 4 grandchildren. hope grandfather of tw succeeds in this league. Dice
Lineup:

Predictions:
Pressure – Defending champions, obvious contender. They have the best spiders, arguably the best shark, and arguably one of the best terrs of all time. I think they lack the depth they’re used to having, and the practice (seems like they don’t care as much?), but I’m sure that won’t matter as since it hasn’t in the past (though if I remember correctly, the last time they didn’t take TWL seriously, they lost to Penetrate). Oder is their prospect-if he gets TWL time it’s his time to shine. If Stayon gets through under, the other team is fucked. 89, JAMAL and cripple will dominate as always, and their 5th doesn’t even matter (although the ones mentioned are all capable of winning the league with that lineup again). Not much else to say, Cape is clutch but I think, if needed, EvilDeed would do just fine behind the powerful dice line. This season I think their biggest “problem” (can’t even call it that, because it’s not really a problem) will be their sharks. a2m is arguably the best shark ever, and TAB, Trig or Oder would do just fine next to him. Won’t be a problem, definite finalist, but with the competition this season and dice seemingly underestimating everyone, they may run into some trouble. /praise

Thunder

Predictions:
Pressure – Contender. Maybe. Hard to say what Thunder will do. Sometimes they are extremely hard to play in a bd, sometimes they’re as easy as hittin a fatty. Who knows, they are absolutely capable of semi’s and maybe even upsetting to get into finals, but they’re also capable of failing all together and not making playoffs. They have a nasty spider line, but where have Phrenitis, M_M God and Deverse been? I think their biggest issue will be a partner for Mattey, but that won’t matter because Mattey is up there as one of the best active sharks. Zizu still got it, regardless of “rust” or lack of practice, and he’s probably the best terr. They have what it takes to do insanely well this season, as long as Zizu and Mattey show. Prospect is whoever sharks with Mattey, as renzi will say, but I also think if Phrenitis shows he’ll prove he’s got what it takes to be one of the better spids in the zone. Dude is a monster in flagroom.

Pressure – Contender- Biggest problem is we don’t really have a lot of depth in the terr department, tho the guys listed are pretty good at it. We recently got a bunch of sharks, but if Max/Meddi both don’t show I see us struggling, even tho Murder has proven pretty damn good in bd’s. And I don't know why he ever gets ragged on, but Ephemeral is proving to be solid with a good team around him. Couldn’t really pick a 5th spid, but the first 4 you see are dirty and any of the ones listed after are definitely capable of doing great. Eelam and poxy are beast aggressive spiders, crem and temp are killing machines. Prospect: Best, guy isn't so well known, but if he gets playing time this season expect him to perform extremely well. Big killer. Impact: pretty much the line listed needs to show up or we wont do as well, but essentially the sharks will be what holds us together. Will be an interesting season for us.
Renzi – weird mix of players but seems to work well for them in twd. hard for me to say where i think theyll end up. i dont think they have the line to compete with squads like pene or dice. impact: pressure. if they dont have him in, then they have no terr which is a big part of game. prospect: meddi. guys a beast and gonna do big things
LEGO

Pressure – Not a contender – Well, maybe. Hard to say what I expect LEGO to do. Mikkiz is clearly their backbone.. without him I see them failing. Baffling/Nokkonen are disgusting spiders, and the guys listed after him are definitely capable of doing well behind those two. Their sharks aren’t incredible, but they aren’t bad. LEGO will pull some upsets this season. Prospect is definitely Mango. Guy was noticed on some training squad and now he’s performing pretty well, so if he starts and they’re having a good game I expect him to stand out. Probably not going to make semi’s but, capable of pulling upsets. Qwas pretty talented too.
Renzi - weird mix of stupid euros except baffling who is cute irl. probably gonna pull a 1:1 record for regular season. doubt they make semi's. impact: mikkiz. prospect: qwas. look out for him
Hit
Lineup:

Pressure – Not contending - I think Hit actually has some solid basers, tho they lack the stability and structure of a winning squad. Heisman terrs himself, and has a good game once every 50, but behind a good line he actually may be able to do well (tho I think Singer should terr tbh). K2/Pjot sharking is the best combo they can put together, even tho both are mia. Will literally die 10x vs. them in terr just from laughing if they start Poni or BongHits. Their impact and prospect players are both Ra and Emper, I think Ra was on –f- and Emper is a DSBer. Both super talented, if Hit is around next season and these guys stick around and the squad can find a solid co-cap to help really develop the squad they may actually do well, but not this season, sorry guys. Good luck, and please show 8 every game, don’t fuck us all over.

Pressure – Not a contender – I don’t know why they Spastic started again. They’re not going to do anything this season, but whatever, the more squads the better. Joe is MIA so I can’t consider him as an impact shark. Impact players are clearly Fit of Rage and the_paul. If Fit doesn’t show, the spiders fail, if paul doesn’t show, they have no strong shark for foundation, if PL doesn’t show, spacedust will terr and he isn't half bad so that’s not an issue (Arobas+ is good too). Prospect is undercut, guy proven to be a good all around baser and hopefully he has a chance to do kind of well this season. The best underdog squad next to LEGO.
renzi – definitely not returning back in glory. ive been seeing ethena on. maybe shell rejoin and get active and bring stabwound as well. then maybe in some miracle jamal/schope will go back. this is the only way spastic will have a chance this twl. otherwise they will get no wins. impact: fit of rage. prospect: undercut

Predictions:
Pressure – Not a contender – Didn’t know they were going to try for LB. Doubt they’ll make it but if they do, their impact player will be trouble. Prospect is via, seems to be a good spider when I watched him on Real. sieni needs to be there to shark too. Who will terr? Poid?
Renzi – uh...doubt they make twl. if they do, they wont win any games.

Predictions:
Pressure – I mean, not much to say.. I miss the old days where this squad had some decent players who could hold bd’s together, but they don’t bd much anymore. I figured since they’re primarily a basing squad I’d say something about them, but sadly I don’t see them making LB. Too few points, too few games. If they do, midoent is their impact player and flion is their prospect. Inaphyt not bad either. They also have magnetic, the worst baser in tw history (next to cyclone).
Renzi – brainwave - if they make twl, it will just be a massacre for them. no chance no matter what line they put in. impact: midoent. prospect: djslayer

Predictions:
Pressure – Not trying to be a dick but I have no idea who sonate is or where they came from. I wrote them up simply because of their valiant effort to at least get bd's going without any sort of experience in TWD whatsoever. I definitely respect them for trying to base, and hopefully they’re still around after the season as they’ll be subject to the better, seasoned players joining and helping them develop. For those of you not following the league, these are the new pub players actually interested in basing, but I don’t know any of them so I can’t comment on who will be their impact and prospect players will be. They’re all prospects actually. Based on their TWD stats: fis is their terr. Fis also seems to shark, as does wazzaaa.nl-I see that guy in base a lot. Cinq used to be a mediocre terr on Warpath, maybe he can play some. Idk, these guys aren’t making TWL-B anyway but I’m sure some of their names will become more familiar by next season.
