Whats up guys. I haven't done this in a few seasons so I thought I'd give it a shot. I think this season should be pretty competitive. That said I'll preview the top five or so squads from my point of view. These are in no particular order, just contenders.
Thunder: thunder is an old squad that has a great past in TWLD. Lead by the ever consistent Ease, they have been title contenders for the last 5 seasons or so. Their main strength is that they have been around a long time. Their players have played in all the most important games, and generally rise to the occasion. The main weakness that I see in this squad is depth. Thunder is missing a couple key contributors from years past, and it makes one wonder if Ease has something up his sleeve, or if they have slacked in recruitment this offseason. Still, I predict them to finish in the top 3-4 squadrons.
Lineup: Ease, Riverside, Unabled, ChrimsonX, Hulk
FIERCE: Once again, Fierce is a heavy favorite to make it to the finals. Returning largely the same line, minus one key contributor, they are a lock to make the playoffs. With the departure of yours truly they acquired a good replacement in Dak, and a wild card in vys. Their top line is dominant, however a lack of depth could ultimately spell doom for them if one or more of their stars have to miss a playoff game like last season.
Lineup: Apok, Deez Nuts, Skepsis, Geio, Dak/Vys
REAL: Real is a newly made squad formed by Rule and Confluence this season. Real's collection of veteran warbirds has the potential to be deadly. One great strength of ours is that while this is technically a new squad, most of us have played together several times in seasons past in squads such as Grapevine and Pirates. I'm done tooting my own horn but this is the other top 3 squad.
Lineup: Mythril, Reaver, scoop, Delectable, Burnt/Weaver/4N/Confluence
Quicksand: TW's bad guys are back again with lots of their old guys. Their main strength is that they have played together for many years and are quite good with the team rush. However, their strength is also their weakness. Expect them to bulldoze the middle teir and weak squads but struggle when faced with the top 3's discipline and style. Top 5 finish for sure.
Lineup: Racka, Izor, Kyou, Kthx, Weak
Dice: Last season's runner up rounds out the top 5 because there is a huge drop off in skill after them. Featuring a mostly new lineup, I don't see them causing a stir this season because of the absence of several key players from last season. Expect them to only go as far as mm89 and maybe pasta can take them... That is if mega can get him to warbird. My bad I forgot about a2m.
Lineup: Megaman89, a2m, Paska, chuckle, Zazu?
That's all I got for you guys this time because really these are the only squads that have a realistic chance of lifting the trophy.
