ok, now that the season is upon us and people are mostly done hopping around, heres some predictions. Also I'm really bored on nights this week.
1. Quicksand - Returning the same line from finals 2 seasons ago, I still dont see a better lineup than ours. tbh, theres some teaming issues at play that will be fixed by the time any serious games are played. All our best wbs are still in offseason mode, and playing the ez part of our schedule early won't help fix that. Squad has less of an aggressive feel without RaCka in, and with his lag issues may be forced to deal with that.
Line - whoever plays during the week thats good...cant honestly say who our line is
2. Real - Real is basically where a bunch of old players have gone to die. They have an annoying mid/long range style and always seem to die out evenly. We'll see if Reaver manages to play for a full season seems he comes for a few weeks at a time and then just stops playing at random. Mythril isnt clutch at all and Real is going to have to deal with that in crunch time.
Line - Jones, Mythril, Burnt, Reaver, Confluence scoop/weaver/foreign
3. Fierce - Overrated although still very good top line led by Apok shooting out of his wing. These guys looked very good in the TWD season when they were adding their top lines in almost every dd vs whoever showed up for other teams, but it seems like now they're willing to add worse lines to get more practice in. That or they're trying to find out who's going to be their 5th this season.
Line - Apok, Deez nuts, skepsis, Engineers are the obvious 4, then Dak? You know what youre getting with him at least...Geio and SwimKid are a bit unreliable to say the least and I cant see them ever adding Ruby unless theyre vsing spastic.
4. Thunder - Unlike Fierce who is always going to be overrated Thunder is usually on the other end of the spectrum. They play dds with whoever shows up and it makes people think less of them, but history would suggest they usually seem to play well come Sunday. Adding Riverside figures to be an interesting move, unless he's gotten a lot better than I remember from a couple years ago. You never really know with these guys until playoffs what they're going to look like. Ease doesnt play a lot of dd's and the team is a lot different with him in.
Line - Ease, Riverside, CrimsonX, Phrenitis?, Unabled?, Dwight? dunno about who will fill the last couple spots I imagine it will change
5. Dice - This definitely isnt the year for a triple crown. Despite probably being the favorite in LJ/LB for the 8th straight season no one seems to go over to Dice to win LD. mm89/paska could probably carry some games assuming they are active and Best looks like he'll play well based off what I've seen, but it would be a stretch to say this squad is going to make any noise in warbird this season. Oh, and I looked at roster and noticed laggot choke artist vys
Line - mm89, paska, vys, a2m, Best/Cape
6. Hit - Apparently captained now by the ever emotional LaSenza, Hit is looking to cause some upsets this season. Going to be interesting to watch them most likely choke away most games. As long as squads stay away from the bottom wall, games will pretty much be a 5v4 due to Welt's newbie tendencies. Paky Dude adds some stability here, but not enough to avoid the inevitable LaSenza ventrilo meltdown/ragequit at some point. Someone please record this for me.
Line - Tranny Trick, emotionally dependent Welt, Paky Dude, Keith?, whoever is playing well by hit standards
7. Penetrate - Preseason was a good indication of how I feel about Penetrate. Their wb's have the talent to blow out lesser opponents. Unfortunately, they dont have the consistency to put up a fight against the better ones. I specced on Caskets 4-5 masterpiece preseason week 2 and watched him lob from behind his team the entire time. Fortunately for them, the opponent was LEGO and Spaceship was able to decoy for him.
Line - Ricko, Creature, Rasaq, chuckle, Casket?, Bacon?, Guero?, Spaceship? Got no idea whos gonna show up for these guys
8. Potenza - Group of laggy newbies also looking for a playoff spot with the 3 squads listed above them. Of all the squads I think will be fighting for the last couple playoff spots (Dice, Penetrate, Hit, and Potenza) I think Potenza is the most stable. Their line probably wont change much if at all during the course of the season, and that's probably the best thing they have going for them. I hear people say 'okyo' is playing well but I've never really been impressed. qpr and iron survivor will have to eat well for this squad to win consistently.
Line - Iron Survivor, qpr, okyo, Tarnish, resurrected/harder/whoever
9/10. Spastic/Lego - Hope you guys pull up some upsets but not holding my breath.
